Course Curriculum Overview

I was interested in this course. The faculty-student ratio is 1:10. The qualifications of faculties are really highly educated. The exam is held under Calcutta University so this is held according to this.

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 3091 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of the college are quite low. The college gives swami Vivekananda scholarships and the college doesn't give any on-campus jobs but for the reputation of the college, you can find It outside the college.

Campus Life

I'm 1st semester student so I didn't know about the college fest and other festivals. The books and journals in the library are very versatile. The classroom is really amenities. The curriculum is very good. Books are provided in the library.

Admission

Eligibility - 60% above or any stream. The application form, fees, etc. can be found on the college website. This college is affiliated with Calcutta University so reservation is conducted according to it. My admission process was smooth.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The exams were conducted very soon in few semester only giving 3 months for the students to prepare . the professors were good at teaching and somehow used to complete the syllabus

The aspects of the curriculum which really influenced my decision was building the foundation of accounting to holding expertise, which was aligned with my goal of studying CA. The curriculum used to be upto date which give us a real time exposure. The exam used to take place in every 3 months.

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.
