The college does not have good sport facilities, no recreation room.

Exam taken: WBJEE Rank obtained:10,359 Department chosen:ECE Opening rank in Ece:3000 Closing rank in Ece:11000 Wanted to pursue mechanical engineering. Since the seats were filled up till 9000 rank, had to go for the second preference. Amoung the colleges under Makaut( former WBUT), fees is comparatively low with equivalent placements

The course was of 4 years divided into 8 semesters. The first year was common for all department and second year onwards we were exposed to the specialized course. The learning was good having myriad exposures and good faculty and lab assistants. The curriculum was less into research and more into giving an overall idea about the core subject. Labs had equal weight age where practical demonstration was given of the theoretical subjects. Towards the end there were soft skill classes as well which would prepare the students for the final college placements. The final semester had the maximum weightage on the compulsory project. Also during the 3rd year we have to undergo a compulsory vocational training. For few the college used to arrange for the vocational training. Rest had to arrange it for themselves. The number of vocational training can be more than one

No internship as such. But it arranges for the vocational training for the top 10 percentile of each department.

Cognizant and wipro form the mass recruiters and are given the zero slots. Out of 440 students from out batch 140 were placed in Cognizant and 110 in wipro with 75 being the common population. After that not many recruiters came to the college , but few off campus-sing drives were organised. The placement cell has been degrading year by year

The event for the particular batch starts with freshers in the first year followed by 4 annual cultural fests and 4 tech fests in the 4 year course. The alumni meet was celebrated previously but now it had ceased. Also 2015 onwards a game fest is organised which is celebrated for 3-4 days and is a inter college event. Also intra department sports event takes palce every year

The semester fees is 35000 for 1st year, 36000 for second year, 37000 for third year and 38000 for the fourth year. Also each semester we had to pay an examination fees of 1000 INR. Caution money of 20000 INR and library fees of 7000 is taken at the time of admission

College offers scholarships to the students belonging to the category section. Also tuition fees is waved upto 90% for TWF candidates(students having annual house hold income less than 2,00,000)

There is a healthy gender diversity and the gender ratio varies from department to department. There are dedicated football, cricket, basketball, table tennis, badminton,drama and dance teams which take part in different intra and inter college events. Also the college hosts its reputed annual fest Flamez and tech fest Phoenix each year

College canteen food price is reasonable and. Hygienic.There is no dedicated hostel but a lot of paying guest facilities are there where food is commendable. There are few shops outside the college premises providing breakfast, lunch evening snacks and dinner but is not that much well maintained

Alumni are very helpful in terms of preparing for the placements as most of them work in the same company which come for placement

It is a balance course. Lectures were of 40 mins duration with a 15 mins break overall. Labs usually stretch over 3 lectures. There are mid terms or internals which happen before each semesters and have a credit point which is appended in the semester final result

After declaration of WBJEE result, i was given a time slot for counseling. Once inside , i had to book a slot and then i was guided by the volunteers standing there to ther respective college stall where i was handed over the brochure and had to pay a booking fee of 1000 INR and given further guidelines where i was instructed to visit the college premises and pay the remaining 33500 rupees, which is actually the semester fees, where i was given the library card and temporary college id which was valid till the permanent one was issued and thus the admission process was completed

There are some good faculties as well as few average. Teacher to student ratio is 1:10. Some pedagogical faculties make the course worthwhile giving deep insights. Humanities teacher is a class apart. Teacher and faculties have b.tech,M.tech and Phd degree as well. Each lab has a dedicated lab assistant
