Remarks

The college management is a good one and the college life can be a rollercoaster one. On one hand where you can be frustrated about standing in lines for the fees to be submitted and getting your I-cards, on the other hand you can even get out of the problem of attendance by paying a little fine. The election time is a time where you can see a lot of crowd and have fun but also a time where you have to take care of your self and safe yourselves from being part of a fight.

Entrance Preview

The admission criteria here is the scores of your 12th board examinations. Hence, I scored 97% which helped get through this college in the very first counselling and my area of interest was something which made me choose this stream.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course is a good one as it reflects all the subjects needed to be studied by a commerce graduate. The semester system helps in knowing about all the subjects though the deep study lacks because of less of the time of each semester and vast number of subjects and course.

Internships Opportunities

Nope. The college does not provide any sort of internship to the commerce students. But one can be part of many clubs like MUN, Rotaract and Enactus which give you a lot of exposure.

Placement Experience

2.5

The placements are a decent one. EnY, L&T, HDFC bank were some of the organizations which came for the recruitment. Except these several BPO's also came up to take the students. The average package offered by these organizations was somewhere ranging between 3-4 lacks and which was a fixed one and was offered t the students after a series of test and interviews.

College Events

4.5

There are many events held by the college. The freshers and farewell for each of the streams is must. And despite that there is commerce fest, arts fest and a bio fest. There is also a cultural evening where singers come and it called Viraasat. Despite these there are youth fests, sports meet and many lectures offered by the guest speakers.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is a feasible one but it can be a bit expensive for people who do not earn well because of the college being a private one. The semester fees is about 25000 and on top of it we have to pay an examination fees of about 3000-4000. The fees is excluding hostel and is just of the course which can vary each year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, the college provides a number of scholarships ranging on basis of merit, sports and even participation in youth fest. Despite this, there are several quotas and criteria like the army, calamity victims, migrants, etc. which are an option to avail the scholarships.

Campus Life

4

The campus life is a good and chilled one. There are various clubs a student can be a part of. The drama club and the dance club are the most active clubs on the campus. There are number of inter college fests where people can participate in debates, declamations and quizzes. The labs are also good and well equipped. The gender diversity is equal one with no one gender more populated than the other.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostels are twin and triple sharing and there is fixed hostel timings for boys and girls with strict rules. There are separate hostels for boys and girls and the hostel provides a cupboard and a bed. The food provided is tasty and good and there is no one who has ever complained about the food. There are no AC's provided but students generally put in together and buy a cooler for themselves.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni contacts are given on the college pages and websites though we have never contacted them. The senior students are of great help and they are warm enough to tell us about the rules, the chill teachers, the teachers to take extra care of, the various events and the many good spots for hang out at the college premise.

Exam Structure

There are no labs fr the commerce students and except the semester exams there are just the mid sems. The semester exams go on for a month but are not hectic at all as there are minimum gap of one day which can also go up to three days for certain exams. Hence it allows the students to sufficiently study between the exams.

Admission

After the 12th bard results are rolled out a prospectus needs to be filled and hence the merit list is announced on the basis of the marks. The counselling is held and the merit wise students are asked to choose the college of their preference and they fill the form then and there and seek admission on the counselling date.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty is a good and learned one and if you are lucky enough you get to learn from the HOD of the departments which are the most learned one. Jagwant Sir (Commerce HOD for year 2016) was a teacher par excellence who made law a simpler and interesting subject.
