Remarks

I think they need more changes i mean next one is always but it tough is one. But student expect more and more with the infrastructure as like internship placement etc

Entrance Preview

School of open learning as you can say SOL its in under university of Delhi offers me lot of opportunity there is no entrance exam for admission it completely based on merit list of your intermediate

Course Curriculum Overview

4

school of open learning offers both kind of course arts and commerce i opted to bachelor of commerce (B.COM) This school offers me complete knowledge about commerce field along with beneficial knowledge in business mathematics, statistics, cost accounting, audit etc. They provide me Hindi and English as elective overall course structure is very wisdom full but there was no practical. it covered only theoretical parts.

Internships Opportunities

Absolutely No . As mentioned in the name of university (SOL) its a distant learning college of the Delhi university so internships was not provided for any students of this institution. this is not good I think

Placement Experience

2

Big NO !!! this was the private body of the Delhi university which was give education to the students by private so there is no placements was done in this College. central government should have to do something here where students got opportunity they need to tie up with reputed companies so placement can possible in distant learning too.

College Events

2

this was very bad to say that there was no event celebrated in school of open learning according to the college name its based on distant learning they don't offer any kinda events they only provide full theoretical parts and not any other events which is excludes in college infrastructure

Fee Structure And Facilities

school of open learning provides us full theoretical knowledge in very low cost its completely affordable and feasible because its a government institution they provide us a platform where we gain knowledge and degree in feasible format in around 15k I got my bachelor degree at my doorstep.

Fees and Financial Aid

Absolutely Not. This institution didn't provide any kind of scholarship is provided because it is open college in which you have to come at only two days not regular so scholarship is provided and fees is also affordable.

Campus Life

3.5

this government institution didn't provide us these facilities this was very bad to say that there was no event debate celebrated in school of open learning according to the college name its based on distant learning they don't offer any kinda events they only provide full theoretical parts and not any other events

Hostel Facilities

2

As mention above this government institution didn't provide any hostel facilities to the students not for my chosen course but they didn't provided rest course too when i was studying in sol i always thought about hostel facilities they can save time as well

Alumni/Alumna

this open learning program offers two streams faculty of arts and faculty of commerce both the faculty was good i enjoyed a lot with learning

Exam Structure

this was good enough they took exams in year end of may to June it varies on your course you chosen and the exam pattern was good but exam sheet checked by those teacher they were not so good they deduct marks unnecessary this was i thought very very awkward and it was not good for student future how they score better and proves better in coming years overall is good

Admission

this university offers me both types of courses UG and PG in under graduate courses. I had applied online through online process and i had a registration with my mobile number on official website WWW.SOL.DU.AC.IN . They provide me user id for further process where i got complete detail of my course (B.com) eligibility, course fee, syllabus , exam dates and last date of registration etc. after that i had applied in hassle free pattern its very easy I took offline payment option which i had to pay in SBI branch nearby at last after couple of weeks i printed my ID card online from official SOL website.

Faculty

5

the faculty of sol was not so good they don't even urged to interact with the students this was quite weird. the faculty was perfectionist in their field but there was lack of interaction to the students. and there was no attendance system in this college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

Placement Experience:

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
