My college life

College is good in facility and leaning as well as natural environment. Faculty is not so good but they try their best. Placements is the topic that you should not think if you want to take admission in college. College will not provide you placement. College management failed to recruit best professors and hence result of each branch is below 85%, fess are very high and return on investment is very low. Labs are well equipped and gives better experience if learning. Hostel is bad for living, food is worst. No alumni connection. Events organised by college are good.

I have taken MHCET exam I scored good, in first CAP round I got good college of Pune, but due to some family reasons I had to stay in Nashik and that's why I applied for second CAP, but due to very less seats remained I managed to get this college.

Courses are provided by University only, but there are some subjects in 1 St year which are shuffled by college in semesters e.g. BXE and BEE are two subjects in 1st year, but college gives BXE to half divisions and BEE to half. Focus is very good in 1st year, tutors help to understand subjects to students as it is new for them, and periodic tests are taken. But as you advances in next years this is reduced.

No, college donot provide any type of internship. But yes they help you if you want to go for internship. They have some people from industry and hence you can use their reference. They also encourage for entrepreneurship.

Not good at all, varies from branch to branch. But T & P team of college takes high efforts. If you are CS or IT student you will get good job that to with good salary, at my time near about 60% students from these branches were placed with avg salary of 3 LPA. But there is no multinational company except Capgemini. For civil, mechanical, electrical, electronics students there is hard time. There is no good no of placements. Students of these branches choose for either MBA or Civil services. Not a single multinational company visits college, and those which visit offer 1.8 to 2.5 LPA with bond.

Many events and Hindu festivals are celebrated in college, aayam is event of whole college. Every dept also has its own event. Tech excellence is of electronics. Many students are encouraged to participate in such events to compete with knowledge of others. Management team are also there for better management. Cultural days are celebrated in campus. Engineers day, independence day, republic day is also celibrated in college. Cultural event and DJ night is also arranged in campus.

According to quality of education, placement provided by college and remoteness of college, fee charged by institute is very high. That's why you may found very less return on investment. Sometimes you may feel college is not worth for the sum you paid.

No, college will not have such facility. Scholarships are given by MAHARASHTRA govt. only. It was ₹2200/yr at my time.

Gender diversity is there as per branches in each college hence this institute is not an exception to that, at my time there were 19 girls in 150 students in mechanical. But in computer branch 3 boys in practical batch of 22students. You can find people from almost every religion but Hindu in majority. And also people from every race but general category in majority. There are many workshops organised by institute e.g. robotics workshop, designing workshop, coding workshop, etc. There are many people from economically strong background but majority are from middle class families.

Living in hostel is only option for those who are not localities. Because college is near about 20 km away from city. Hostel facility is much good. There are 8 buildings for hostel. Half for boys and half for girls. Each has 4 floors. 3 students can live in one room. 60000 were charge for hostel at my time. Hostel food is worst. And college management do not bother about it after many complaints also.

No , alumni actually visit college very rarely. They have no feeling for college as its return on investment is very low. Hence alumni network is not very strong , and this affect the growth of students.

Exam structure given by University is followed , SITRC has well equipped labs and it is one of the best thing about this institute. You can have separate lab for each subject that to with all equipments. Nat all but most of exams are carried out practically.

At my time admission process was very hectic and lengthy, after allotment of college by DTE, you are asked to report to college with suggested documents, college procedure was very lengthy because it had 27 tables for document verification. I had to verify each and every document at every table then at the end I had to pay full fee of college in bank with challan provided by college. After that one had to fill antiragging form. This completes admission process.

The Faculty is not best but it is good. Not everyone but most of them take efforts on students. Many professors are knowledge hungry, but not everyone. Very little no of professors is passed out from well-known institutes. Others are just earning money. But those who are serious they complete their syllabus by taking extra classes sometimes on holidays also. And many take periodic surprise tests also to improve students.
