- The mess food can get repetitive and the menu items are made a bit too spicy
- The food street items are quite expensive and there are no shops nearby outside the campus
- Every classroom isn't equipped with an AC but some are which feels wrong
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is well-balanced and student to faculty ratio is well too. I chose the Computer Science with Business Systems course because I wanted to learn computer science leaning towards the business side of things too. The faculty here are very qualified, they have all done their Ph.D. from well-respected colleges like IITs, NITs and even abroad. The term exams are divided into CAT 1, CAT 2 and finally the FAT per semester. the exams are fairly easy to pass if one pays attention in classes.
Internships Opportunities
After the 3rd Year of B.Tech. We get opportunities for internships during the summer and we get a long leave to go do projects and all. the internships are paid too but not a lot. the projects you do help you score some credits for completion of your course.
Placement Experience
Placements are great with an average package of 14 LPA, several companies like Microsoft, Google, TCS, Amazon etc come to hire students for internships and jobs. the highest package goes up to 65LPA too and a good percentage of students get placed. A lot of students opt for higher studies but most get placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is based on the rank you scored in VITEEE. In counselling, you get a certain category that goes from 1-5, category 1 students get to choose the courses first and they pay 1.8LPA fees but if the seats get filled then the next category students need to pay more and so on.
Campus Life
Campus life is quite lively, people walk around a lot in the evening and sit around at the food street, there are a lot of clubs to join and they conduct fests all year round, technical and non-technical fests are all fun to attend and participate in. The library is huge and filled with several books that are needed. Classrooms are equipped with a projector and a large whiteboard, some classrooms have ACs and we can set our timetable after the 1st year. sports facilities are very good with badminton, football, table tennis, squash, carrom, chess, basketball, cricket etc.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are clean and well maintained, mess food is great and has a well diversified menu, the hostel rooms are divided into categories like 2 bed, 4 bed, 5 bed and dorm rooms and we are given a chance of ac or non ac rooms.
Admission
The admission process was streamlined and online based. I entered by giving the VITEEE and counselling was done online based on rank a category was given for certain course fees. application filling and dates are always updated online on several websites. the only tedious thing was the offline counselling done in the college and the hostel accommodation, it was a very slow and tedious task but in the end, everything worked out easily with the help of the staff present there.
