Great experience

The best thing about UPES is that it is a 100% ragging free campus.

I took ULSAT in the year 2011. the score was not disclosed at that time. I was straight away called for the GDPI. once I cleared the GDPI I was called in for admission I chose this college because I got a great infrastructure and good exposure to international standards. We met students and teachers from various parts of the country.

The course struture is very wisely designed. The programe was very comprehensive and helpful. Everything was defined as per hours and it had both theoritical and practical applications. The course plan was designed keeping in mind the day to day changes in the curriculum and was very flexible as per the modern day applications.

The college did rovide usa with various summer and winter oppurtunities. We were sending out our updated CVs to the placement department and they sent it forward. Both paid and unpaid internships were provided.

The college provided us with great placement opputunities. We got placements from: Companies Law firms NGOs LPOs all these were reknowned organisations having a healthy work atmosphere. they made sure that we get good remmunerations and decent job contact, so there was no scope of exploitation few companies those visited were: PWC Amarchand mangaldas

There were a number of events celebrated in the college. The major cultural fest is named as URJAA. it's a three-day fest which comprises of a lot of activities and musical nights. the college made sure that everything is conducted smoothly and without any mishaps. there were other fests as per different branches which majorly were law fests technical fest as IGNITE

The fee structure of the college was a little expensive, but the standard of living provided at the college would suffice the structure. The fees submission had various modes and the accounts department kept very clear records of the payments made. Loans were also available.

I did not avail any scholarship or loan facility during my college. But both of them were provided. Scholarships were provided as per the pointers and loan was provided by the partnering bank.

The campus life at college was simply awesome, A very healthy environment. The gender ratio was almost equal and a huge diversity as we had students from every part of the country. A lot of extra curricular activities were arranged on both national and international level. they were both a boost to our confidence and knowledge.

The hostels were lavish and provided really good food. Starting when i joined the college campus only provided accomodation was boys, but later the girls hostel was also opened in the campus itself. they were very secure and safe. Guards were always on duty and there were wardens who use to take care of the hostel innmates.

Our college does has an alumini network. they are helpul to know how good are our batchmates and seniors working. it also help us connects with our old college mates and faculties

Exam structure was very nice. the assessment weightage was as follows: internals 30% mid terms 20% end sems 50% all the exams were pre specified in the academic calender and were conducted on the same mentioned dates. Hence they were not hectic. The exams were held consecutively.

First i filled the forms then I recieved the confirmation. The exams wereconducted in a very fair manner whithin reachable locations. After the written exams there were results announced for all those who are selected for GDPI. GDPI was conducted at the Dehradun Campus. Once the GDPI process was completed within a few days i recieved the confirmation that I am selected. They send me the detailed fee stucture rules and regulations hostel details. Uniform details. My admission procedure was conducted on JULY 26, 2011. The procedure was smooth and well managed

The faculty at UPES were very helpful. They had both new and old proffessors which facilitated the learning process. They were enthusiastic and made sure that the learning is more interantive. they also provides projects and helped us with the same so thyat we understand the wider prospective of what we were learning.
