Once a SRMite always a SRMite

Not really any bad remarks about the college in overall. There were times college couldn't perform well but they make sure to help us meet our expectations. The college has been great and always will be for future coming students

I have taken IIT, JEE, BITSTAT , VIT and SRM entrance exam. I have opted SRM as I got very good rank of 4000 in SRM entrance exam. The course I chose is B.tech in ECE which is because of the rank it would suit with. The admission process was of 1 day. Where we had to chose our course and campus by paying an initial amount of 1 lakh as a deposit.

The course curriculum is well organized. There are 72 subjects including basics , subject related practical and theory which are equally divided among 8 semesters . There are other activities to main subjects. The course also provides an useful training of personality development and aptitude which is very helpful for placements taking place in 4th year . SRM also provides semester abroad program (SAP) for one semester to allow students to study in foriegn for a better learning experience and practical experience.

Yes our college provide internship from many companies . The students need to register for internship at the placements cell office available only in main campus . companies are of core and IT , they recruit plenty of students and the provided stipend salary of 15-20 k per month

Placement and job opportunities are 80 % among the students who clear all the subjects with out any arrear. There are more than 600 companies coming every year which includes subject core , IT , sales and marketing , product companies. The recruitment process is well taken care of and . In my batch nearly 3000 people are placed in various companies. The salary provided to them are 2-3 lpa in core companies, 3-5 lpa in IT companies , 3-7 lpa in product companies.

There are two annual festival in our college, aarush in odd semester and Milan in even semester. These are the cultural events celebrated throughout the year. Milan is recorded the biggest festival of college which runs no stop for 4 nights. Many celebrities make a visit like John Abraham , Shirley shetia, nucleus, and many more. Coming to technical events, they are Abhigyan, react, aarambh . There are other department events too.

The fees structure is feasible for middle class family . The fee structure varies from 1.5 to 2.5 lakh per year based on the course as the tution fee. Apart from this the books fees are 15000 and career development fees are 150000. If anyone is staying in hostel the fees currently is 120000 per year.

There are many scholarship schemes . The student topping in average in all the sem gets a scholarship of 15000. There are scholarship related to sports . Loan is provided to those whose monthly income of family is below 3 lakh.

They were all amazing. Campus life has been great with 2 big big canteens along with many other canteens. Very spacious for students to hangout and roam, huge gardens are also there. All the cultural festival are held and conducted in the campus . The gender ratio is almost Equal. There is diversity in students as they are from different race culture and religion as it is a big campus .

Hostel rooms are good with every facility. The problem here is only with sharing. There are 4 people in a hall like room. hostel food is not up to the mark . If it's for any north Indian they surely won't like the food. They are yet to start AC hostel for Indian students. Thought there are AC hostel for foriegn students.

The alumni network is always helpful to guide the juniors. We learn half of the things about college from our seniors, we follow their footsteps in conducting any even and taking help from them where they would guide us. They are helpful in guiding what subject to chose and many other hacks in college.

The exams were chilled out in the first year. As the year increased the subjects increased and we got a tight schedule, so had to manage exams within the short time. There are 3 exams in each semester. Ct1, CT 2 and the final exam. Obviously, they did get hectic. The labs were 4-5 in the first year as there were many basic subjects. The following years had 2 labs in each semester. Which was chilled out apart from writing records and observation after coming home and getting them signed regularly which were tiring and hectic

Firstly I wrote the entrance exam of SRM and secured 4000 rank . Which allowed me to take the course of ECE in main campus , i.e in kattankulathur. For admission they considered students who got a rank upto 70000 in entrance exam . Based on the rank students were given a slot for counciling to complete the admission process. I was given day 2 of counciling. On reaching the college I filled a form to select the course and campus and submitted along with a DD of 1 lakh . I also had to pay the tuition fee of 1.85 lakh plus hostel fees of 1 lakh .

The faculty of our college is well trained and experienced. There is enough number of professional faculties in each department and in each campus. The department faculties are qualified till be/ btech. And our HOD's have mostly done there Ph.D. Their subject knowledge is extremely good and up to the mark, The faculty members are dedicated to train the students and make sure the students complete all there tasks and activities assigned to them.
