A good technical institution

The college is situated in a nice place. The campus is located at a rural area. We have a stunning aerial view.

I cracked the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination( WBJEE) and secured a rank 4269. I choosed this particular college because it is a government institution. So it is a state funded technical college. I opted for ECE over other streams as I have the more interest in it.

The institution provides four-year Bachelor degree courses in engineering. There are total five departments in our college. The course curriculum is satisfactory but it needs some improvements to make the structure industry friendly. New inventions and technologies should be included in the syllabus

The college does not provide internships. But here we have some tution fee waiver schemes which help economically backward students.

The college was established in the year 2016. So, the first batch hasn't graduated yet. That is why the placement statistics can't be provided here. But being a government technical institution ( the no. Of which is very less) I think we'll surely have a decent placement record.

Every year we celebrate our annual foundation day on 10 August. There are some cultural events,programs and festivals which take place every semesters. However we don't have any dance or photography club yet. A large no. Of students usually take part in these events.

Being a government institution, the fee structures are affordable. The tuition fees are ₹6,000 per semester for computer Science and Engineering and Electronics and communication Engineering. The same is ₹3000 per semester for Electrical,mechanical and civil engineering.

The college offers half fee/full fee waiver schemes which helps the deserving and needy students. For the full fee waiver scheme, students who are eligible for this need not to pay the tution fees. However other fees are applicable.

The campus life is fun and exciting. The number of girls is far behind then the number of boys. This is mainly because still now engineering is dominated by male students. We have a cultural committee which organizes several aesthetic festivals. Various sporting activities are also organized.

At present there are two hostels(one boys hostel and one girls hostel) in our campus with two more hostels are under construction. The boys hostel can accommodate 220 students and the girls hostel can accommodate 50 students. Hostel life is excellent.

The college was started back in 2016 and so I am in the first batch. So we are the all time seniors and the most special batch of our institute. Having said that I must also admit that the first batches are usually the most deprived batches.

The laboratories are well equipped.We have frequent lab classes. There are two internal examinations and one semester examination. The laboratory assistants are average. We have a lot of computers. Lab exams occur before the final theory (semester) exams.

After the results of WBJEE were declared, the counselling process started soon. I filled up the name of my college in choice filling and I was alloted the ECE branch ( which was my first choice ). The college administration was helpful and the admission process was simple.

The faculties of our college are well qualified and extremely helpful. Some of them are truely knowledgeable with their crystal clear concepts. They give us assignments throughout the semester. Although we need more professors. Being a government institution the teaching is better than average.
