Likes

Campus is well green lushed and one of its beauty is Heritage Building.
The fests in the college are well organised and provide various competitions to win momento and money prize as well as the star night .
The library of IIT(ISM) Dhanbad is Asia second largest library with various books and floor dedicated for self study.

Dislikes

The administration of this college is strict .
You are not allowed to go out of campus after 10 pm.
Attendance policy of 75% is very strict.

Course Curriculum Overview

This course best in IIT(ISM) is of the Mining department. This college is performing continuously well in the placement of this core branch . The average CTC of this department is 12 lakhs. The faculties of the Mining department are well-experienced in their respective fields and have been serving at least for 5 years as mine managers. The exams in college are conducted in two forms semester and end-semester exams.

Internships Opportunities

One can serve in the internship after the fourth semester and companies of core and noncore come for giving internship. The companies are Axella Advisory Services, Vedanta Cairn Oil and Gas, Tata Steel, and Barclays.

Placement Experience

From seventh semester onwards students become eligible to sit in the placement exam . Various companies come for placement in the IT as well as core company. The companies are Barclays, Land Rover, Axella, Cairn Oil and gas Vedanta Limited, and Tata Steel.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees in IIT(ISM) Dhanbad are not high and it provides a reduction in tuition fees based on the family income of the student. If one has a family income below 1 lakh rupees then he/she will get a 100% tuition fee waiver. The college provides MCM to students based on their CGPA in the particular semester. The college provides several scholarships provided by our alumni.

Campus Life

The college campus is student-friendly. The in timings in the campus is 10 pm when you are out of the campus. Inside campus, the timings for boys and girls is 12 am which is extended in the fests. The fests conducted in the college are Srijan, Concetto, and Khanan.

Admission

Candidates should be jee mains qualified and jee advanced qualified to participate in JOSAA counseling. According to Air in Jee, advanced students are allotted to different branches. Reservation is provided according to the categories of students. There are 30% of seats reserved for female candidates. Students should score a minimum of 75% on board.

from 7th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placement there are lot of companies who used to visit our campus like microsoft gives 15 to 20 offer, amazon guves 13 to 15 offer , accenture gives a lot of offer like 30 offer and many more in recent year placement 64 lpa is highest and average of 12.5 lpa they use to offer forSDE role in last year 93.14percentage of total student get placed my plan is to get a full time job as software developer

INSIGHTS OF BIT MESRA

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem onwards students are able to face placements. Comapnies such as ZS, Deloite AB in bev microsoft visa comes here and normally takes 1-3 students. The highest package may vary from 40-50 lakhs and average is 4-5 lakhs. Internships opportunities are quite low here. In chemical enginnering only till now out of 120 students 20-30 got placed including out of campus palcements. I am hoping to do mba after pursuing the degree as there is less comapny visit for core branches.

BIT : A Freshman's Perspective

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to sit for placements from the 7th semester.A variety of companies including TATA Steel, JSL, JPL, Samsung, TCS and ABG visit the campus.The highest package offered is to Mining branch by vedanta which is 16.5 lpa.In core branches like mechanical and electrical the placement percentage reaches to almost 80%.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our college is quite active and provides internship opportunities and pre-placement offers for students in their third and fourth years. It invites reputed companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Accenture, IBM, Intel, Infosys, Cognizant, Deloitte, and many more. The average package is about 12LPA and highest package is about 52 LPA. Branches like CSE offer even higher, lucrative packges.

1.The main thing about our campus, campus placements are so good. Branches like CSE & ECE have high placement percentage about 90. 2.From 3rd year students got involved college internships and programmes that allow them to better placements. 3.Top companies like Google,Microsoft,Amazon,Intel,Samsung etc visited our campus. Placement Experience:

The placement of IIT dhanbad is very good and it offers a average package of 24lpa with highest package of 66lpa this year. Also every year more than 70% students get placed in our college. Specially the core companies shows a lot of interest in our college like coal india, sail, gail, petroleum industries companies, mining companies , etc Average package of cse here is 28lpa with 90% placement rate. Average of electrical is 23lpa with placement rate of 80%. Similarly, every branch average package lies between 18lpa to 24lpa.

Placement Experience:

The placement season starts during 7th semester when various companies come to camous to recruit students. Top companies such as google, amazon,microsoft, coal india, texas instumentation, ONGC etc visits the campus for recruirment. Around 60 -70 percent of the students get placed every year. The highest package from the camous was about 1cr . And the average package of the college was about 15-16 lakhs Apart from the capmus placement many students apply for off campus placement for which also tge college helps.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This college is an engineering college and I choose this college for a Btech degree in civil engineering. The teacher faculty is pretty well they teach us and do many practical labs. The student ratio in my class is 50:11 which means 50 boys and 11 girls in my branch. Mainly they all are DR they have dr degrees and they method is simply not like an extraordinary teacher. In my college teacher took all the exams at timely and it is not very difficult to pass
