Likes
- Wifi lan or router speed is quite good. Lan or router is depends on your hostel.
- There is one reading room and one Table tennis room , and badminton court, volleyball court are available in every hostel room
- In winter season, hot water is given in mess to drink.
Dislikes
- There is worst restriction in 1st year about hostel.
- First , your hostel gate closing time would be at 6 pm
- Then it will be increased by 2 hours. Means would become 8 pm.
Course Curriculum Overview
- I chose instrumentation and control engineering since there are lots of scope in Ai and Machine learning, if your are pursuing this course , definitely it will enhance your dream. -Ok let me tell truth, most of the professor come from Punjab University after getting degree in their respective field. But few of proffesorr completed their PhD degree from foreign universities, and some proffesorr come from other nits or state college. Remember most of them will belong to punjab University. -I have no idea about students - faculty ratio but , I only know it is too enough ratio. -please make sure to make notes, remember definitely, you will often unable to understand whatever teacher is teaching . So please take help from YouTube and other sources from internet.
Internships Opportunities
Most of the companies come for a sde role, But many psu also comes like gail, bhel, Bharat electronics, semiconductor which give often tremendous salary package , if you are from ece, or ice, electric branch. Analyst role, data analyst role etc .
Placement Experience
1) placement is offered in 7th semester 2) oracle, accenture, google , amazon , Microsoft etc 3) highest in ice branch - 44 lpa, Lowest - 5-6 lpa 4)there is 80% placement in ice branch. There is 95 % placement in ece branch. There is 80-85% placement in cse branch. 5)plan- to get a job in It company

Hostel Facilities
1) in first year, you will be alloted a room with 3 more friends(boys). There will be 3 fans , four bed, 3 tables , four chairs. 2) meal in first year is quite good. But while passing time , you will start to hate. So make habit to eat.menu is decided by mess community members. 3)while reporting, you have to report in it building, for hostel disturbance, there would be parchi picking system. 4) You have to travel atleast 1 km for vidhipur(local market).
Admission
Eligibility - a candidate must be either appearing on 12th or till 2 years after the 12 th. Application form- you need to apply in this college from jee main application form, it is conducted by nta Reservation - if you are from homestate(punjab) , this will be your golden opportunity, almost 50 % reservation for home state candidate. Since I am from other state , I came here from OBC quota. Improvement in admission process - I felt that, while reporting in nit Jalandhar, after the jossa councelling, the hostels staff would take lots of our time. It can be improved by online procedure of hostels disbursement.
