Remarks

Certain idiotic policies and jerks in the department are ruining the lives of a college with great potential.

IPU CET

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course structure for Computer Science us pretty nice with all the things properly covered. However, since the area of the building is really less, the labs are not up to the mark. Research area is generally focussed by student clubs only and generally, these are not funded by the college.

Internships Opportunities

At our time no company came to offer internship. We had to look on our own. I did it in a networking firm at a very low stipend(almost negligible).

Placement Experience

2.5

Placements are good for Computer science and IT. However, the placement officer is ruining the college placement. Idiotic policies and at times negligence by college has left many students heartbroken. However, at most of the places, the scenario is quite similar and if you wish to join IPU, USIT and BVP are the only good colleges offering placements. TCS is the major recruiter here and offer the same package it does nationwide.

College Events

3

Not worth it. The area of the college is really small and hence fests are boring. Everything is done by the students who get really less funding from college. Our budget was around 1.5 lakhs only in 2013.

Fees and Financial Aid

I only took education loan which had nothing to do with the college. Don't know if we get any scholarships here.

Campus Life

2

Gender ratio- in my batch we had 7 girls and 50+ boys.Student/dorm parties- i lived with my friends and we partied a lot.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Only girls hostel. So i can't answer this. Though, there is a residential area right behind college where one can get pg or flat easily. Food is a bit problem but manageable. I loved living with my friends. Canteen is small but alright. We have had 4 vend

Alumni/Alumna

Just an alumni meet every year with a few 100 students. I have heard there is an Alumni club as well.

Faculty

3

The faculty is alright. Few teachers are pretty amazing while others don't have knowledge at all. I don't think the teachers are trained to teach as most of them find it hard to connect with students. This should be taken as a suggest as it needs improvem

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

So placement cell is not present in college because of low intake of students but the students are very skilled to crack Gsoc , and other internship opportunities which lands them into big company. Also very good alumni network is present in college which boosts the placement of college.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
