Course Curriculum Overview

I opted for BE - civil engineering and fact to student ratio is around 1:10. All professors are well qualified and use simple techniques to teach their respective subjects in a very practical manner.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Placement Experience

Placement is quite average for the civil stream but for CSE/ECE placement ratio is very high, it's almost two offers on average per qualified student. Nonetheless, there are some good companies that do come for campus placement here.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee hike usually ranges between 5-12% annually, compared to government colleges whose educational fee is on the very higher side. The top performer of the stream is usually awarded one semister fee as a scholarship reward.

Campus Life

Campus life is full of activities. there a plenty of spaces where you can go and chill with your friends and roam around inside the college campus. So yeah not so bad and not so good. you can join various clubs which provide you a platform to polish your hobbies like dancing, natak, art and many more.

Hostel Facilities

Overall it was a great experience there are plenty of activities you can opt for and can polish your soft skills which basically helps in controlling ego and anger management. Great peers, faculties, and staff are there to support you at each and every milestone.

Hostel Fee: INR 40000 per year

Admission

B.E. eligibility is based on AIEEE exam results and cut-off mainly varies from stream to stream. Cut-off mainly goes from 75000 to somewhat 350000 (national level), and you can get extra marks for sports certificates, NCC, or NSS certificates.

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Environment of my college

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.
