- I like The Beach. And the greenery is too good.

- We have many tourist sites in reach of a half day. Bike and car rentals are available to travel and enjoy with friends.
Dislikes
- There can be issue with weather conditions especially during summer.
- It can be too hot at times. And food court can be better.
- We have a swimming pool but it was never working.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Mechanical engineering because I am very interested in the field of aerospace. Faculty student ratio is quite good in mechanical department for every 30 students there is a faculty. Most of the professor and assistant professor are phds from nits and iits and very qualified. There will be half term after 2 months and full term after 5 months.
Internships Opportunities
There will be a internship exam conducted by college to 3rd year students. According to their performance they can avail internship in pretty good companies. I know many seniors with internships in Google Microsoft Goldman Sachs Bajaj and so on.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no fees hike policy. Fees for all 8 semesters are mentioned at the beginning of the 1st semester itself. Depending on your annual income there will be concession in the tuition fee for each semester. Many scholarships are available for reservation students as it is a government institute.
Campus Life
Our Annual Fest INCIDENT. Arguably one of the best cultural fests in South India. We also have a technical fest named ENGINEER which is also a good one. Apart from fests we will frequently be having Inter NIT sports events happening all over India and good participation is observed from NITK. there are plenty of clubs for all students. Classrooms are very efficient. There is a Student Council and two more committee called PHEONIX AND CRESCENDO which are entirely managed by students.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are efficient and productive. Same thing cannot be said about food but PG students have very good hostel facility compared to Btech. The two newly opened blocks are accomodated to PG students.
Admission
For application I have cleared JEE Mains entrance exam and then I have submitted required documents physically in the institute. There were no major issues during the process except for a bit more crowd. It was a bit lenghty.
