Course Curriculum Overview
I had a knack for coding and technology so I wanted to choose this course. Also, IT is booming in India with a lot of opportunities. The teachers are friendly and teach really well. The ratio of faculty: to students is 1:20 which is impressive as well. Faculty are highly qualified with multiple research papers in their name and explain concepts very well. Exams are uncomfortably frequent with 4 class assessments and 2 practical lab exams with Viva before the semester exam and while passing isn't difficult, getting a decent cgpa certainly is.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are new and starting from the 2024 batch so we do not have any data. Our college is inviting internship drives for the SDE and SWE roles. I did not have an internship opportunity from college. Research projects are available under faculty guidance.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible from the 6th semester to sit for placements. We had companies like NRI fintech, Hexaware, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, Kreeti Technology, and more with 80+ total offers made. The highest package was 7lpa and the average package was 4.5lpa. About 80% of the students who opted for placements were placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees of my course were very affordable. Only 6k per semester. I didn't avail any scholarships or financial aid. The placement was good with the highest on-campus offer being 7 lpa and median offer being 5 lpa. We have multiple MNCs visiting us regularly. Very good return on investment.
Campus Life
Annual fest Resurrection happens every year in March and tech fest Enginerds happen in September. Our Library is one of the best with a vast collection of books and journals and a large reading space. Classrooms have all the basic amenities with a projector too. Our campus covers a football ground and volleyball court too. We also have coding clubs in our college with regular extra classes taken up by students and contests.
Admission
I took and cleared WBJEE which is a PCM-based entrance exam. Details on the dates of WBJEE can be found on their official website. Being a general candidate I did not avail of reservation benefits and secured a CS branch with a WBJEE rank of 3300.
