Course Curriculum Overview
I did choose this course because I had an interest in it. The faculty and student ratio is good..and it would have been better. In every class in the first year, we have 90 students. Every professor in iiest is qualified with a Ph.D. or higher education. They have more years of experience. It is easy to pass If you study daily
Internships Opportunities
We have many internship opportunities form Microsoft and Google. And many other companies. From core and code branches. To apply for an internship. We need to contact professors and other management too. We are given many projects to do. And professors are also highly qualified so that we can do good in the project and also in the placements
Placement Experience
Placements in IIEST are pretty good in 2022 Avg package in IIEST was 8LPA and the median was 7LPA. After the 6th semister students get eligible for placements. Almost IIEST gets visited by 60 companies. The highest was 45LPA offered to 9 students. And the overall percentage of the students who got places is 80.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees in IIEST are decent as compared to other nits. The cost of study in IIEST is good. They provide waivers for students who have income under 1 lakh and also under 5 lakh. But people who have income greater than 5L have to pay the full fee. The college also provides many facilities like insurance. And we can also get scholarships from the government. In short words. Students who have income under 1L can study fees in their 4 years of college
Campus Life
Campus life is pretty good. As iam a fresher, I do not know much about the fests. But IIEST celebrates all the big festivals celebrated in India. We have a central Library where we can almost find all the books required for a student. only disadvantage for students is their classrooms, classrooms are not as developed. We have sports like basketball, football, cricket, volleyball and all other outdoor and indoor games. We have clubs like coding club, astronomy club, dance club, singing club,drama club and many other
Hostel Facilities
Hostels in iiest are pretty old and odd.. Facilities are pretty bad.. As for meals daily we have to eat potatoes in every food... As the time comes u will hate potatoes...and the quality of food is low for first year's. Registration is done for hostels when you take admission in college... It is easy to do..
Admission
Firstly, I applied for JEE MAINS and got a decent percentile, with which I have been admission to IIEST. The eligibility to get into the college was 75%of marks in 12th grade and a decent percentile in jee mains. You might find all the details about the entrance exam on NTA MAIN's official website. You can avail of benefits of reservation differently if you are from SC and ST, you have a higher chance of getting a seat than obc and the general category. Because students from the St category appear less compared to other categories. I need the reservation system to be decreased as it is now. People with high percentile from the obc category are not getting into the colleges but ST people with low percentile compared to the obc category are getting into the same college. And in other ways, reservation might look good not.
