Course Curriculum Overview
The course is very nice and easy . There are five subjects- Applied mathematics, Python, Management principles, Fc 1, and DC (department core). There are eight workshops- Sheet Metal, Welding Shop, Fitting Shop, Machine Shop, Smithy Shop, Foundry Shop, Electrical Shop, and Carpentry Shop. Each shop has three classes. The faculties are so good they use many technical words they are Ph.D.s from IIT and NIT.
Internships Opportunities
The internship opportunities are many companies we have to apply to such as Amazon, Microsoft, Bharat petroleum, Wipro, and many others. In the campus we also joined the training for internships which taught us about payable and non payable internships.
Placement Experience
Students in the 7th semester gets eligible for placements . Many big companies visit the college for campus placements like BPCL, Deloitte, Paytm, Samsung, Oracle, Amazon, Infosys, Axis Bank, Accenture, Qualcomm, Mediatek, Adobe, Flipkart , MG, Byjus, etc. and many other companies.Students can also apply off-campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is good as compare to private college and the in private college there are many expensive and nit are very cheap so there is no loan issues. About the scholarship opportunity, there are so many opportunities for scholarships based on 12th marks and JEE percentile. There is a program for laptops in installments.
Campus Life
There are many clubs here like a photography club, clubs for dance, music, and sports, a robotics club, Bhangra club, Animaniacs for animation, NSS, NCC, GDSC, TedX ,Regional-language club, Sanskriti Club, Arogya Club, Club for yoga meditation, and you can create your own club. Information about each club is given on the website of college and most clubs have their own Instagram pages. They post regular content and provide information about inductions . One club named prayas is run by students for economically weak students, students here are assigned a group of students of certain class to teach. It is a very good group that helps the economical weak students. The overall quality of clubs is good.
Hostel Facilities
College provides a hostel for people who wants a hostel. Hostels are decent for the first years . It is sharing room for 4 students . Major issues faced by the students is of internet connectivity. Beds are decent and room have decent amount of space. Mess food is also eatable. Both veg and non-veg are available. Menu also keeps changing . Veg students can have their dinner in the first 45 minutes if they don't want to eat with non-veg. There is a badminton court and volleyball net in a hostel and a table tennis table and a thrombosis in the hostel. The hostel has a garden and ample greenery. Registration process of hostel is online, you can select hostel as well as room online, and mess fees are also paid online.
Admission
I applied for jee exam . When I cleared the exam the we have to apply for councelling process. After this, I have to fill out the form for JOSSA counseling. There are 6 round and one extra round which is CSAB counseling in CSAB I got chemical Engineering at NIT J. The Admission process starts after verification of documents, First I have verified my Aadhar and after this, There are many documents to verification- Adhaar, a Medical certificate, a 12th certificate, a Character certificate, a 10th certificate, an Income certificate, a OBC certificate, Migration certificate. After verification I got admission to NIT Jalandhar. The campus is so beautiful.
