Inside Look at ISME from a current student

I choose this course in order to persure my interests in the field of accounting and finance. The course also offers benefits for ACCA professional exams. The faculty:student ratio is 1:12. The faculty are highly qualified and experienced and their teaching methods are very unique and interesting. It has really helped me in understanding the subject better. The exams were very well organised and managed by the faculty. The difficulty of the exams were mediocre but with proper studies and concentration in class can easily allow one to pass the exams.

The college offers internships in the final year for a duration of one month. There are various companies which come for intership placements. Some of the companies are EY, GT, etc The students get projects based on their specialization.

The students become eligible for campus placements in the final semester. There are many companies which come for campus placements. Some of them are EY, GT, PwC, ICICI, LSC, etc The highest package offered is around 6 LPA and the average package is around 5 LPA. Every student who is interested in getting placements will get placed. My plans after getting the degree is to get placed in campus placements and finish my ACCA professional degree and start my course of doing US CPA along with my job.

The fee structure in ISME is moderate as compared to other colleges. The college offers various scholarships such as - Merit based, Need based, Defense based, Siblings and SC/ST Scholarships. The college also provides financial assistance to the needy students. They also offer internships which can help the students get the experience and make the corporate ready.

The college conducts fests such as ignito buzz and buzy buzz. They are conducted around the months of January/February. Almost all the books which any student requires are available in the library and if any book is not available, the librarian makes sure it will be available soon. There are various amenities available in the classroom. Some of them include last technology such as smart boards and well ventilation inside the classroom. There are various sports and extra curricular activities such as basketball, football, vollyball, etc. The college also has various clubs such as E-CELL, Cultural Club, Literary Club, CSR Club, etc.

The eligibility of the course was 12th graduate with a 60% requirement and the application forms and other details are easily accessible from the college website. There was an entrance test followed by a personal interview where the interviewer checked the candidates communication skills, confidence, general knowledge and current affairs as their selection criteria.

The criteria for selection was based on the communication skills, confidence, general knowledge and current affairs knowledge. There was a 60% eligibility criteria for writing the entrance exams. To prepare for the entrance exam and interview I went through various videos online and also asked the students who are already in the college for assistance in preparation.
