NIT J at a glance.

Computer science is a growing industry, and it offers a great package as well. The faculty-to-student ratio is Around 1:12. All the professors are PhD holders from IITs, NITs, or foreign colleges. The faculty is great and supportive. Exams are held approximately 45 days from the start of the course and end-semester exams are taken at the last. In between we have 3-4 quizzes. Exams are not difficult to pass if you study well.

Amazon oracle etc. are some of the companies that provide internships on campus. The stipend offered by them is nearly around 15K per month. Mainly the internship is offered for the role of software developer. One can try for off-campus internships as well.

After 5th semester students can apply for internship, college provide attendance to the respective student during the internship period. Many companies visit our campus like Microsoft, Oracle, Amazon, etc. The highest package is around 62 lpa and the average package is around 13 lakh. 85-95% of students are placed and others pursue MTech or apply abroad etc.

Approx 5000 rupees are incremented per year and total expenditure for the 4-year course duration is around 11-12 lakhs. One can avail of different scholarships such as NSP, and Medhavi Engineering Scholarship, and alumni also provide different scholarships.

Utkansh is our annual fest which runs for 3 consecutive days. Technician is a technical fest with great technical games. Bharat dhwani is also celebrated annually on the college's inauguration day. Sports facilities are good but not great. The gymnasium is properly maintained. There are different clubs in NIT-J to follow the passion in you.

A fan,2 beds, one table, one chair, and two almirahs are provided by the hostel. It is a shared room ie you have to share with a student for the first three years of the course. In the last year, we have been provided with single rooms. Wifi facilities and lifts are also there. Mess is good with diverse meals and tastes. Hostels are provided inside the campus only.

For admission purposes, a student has to appear for the JEE(Joint Entrance Examination) and clear the cut like the 98 percentile for CSE. (It varies for different departments). Application forms are available on the NTA website in the month of November or December. You can avail of caste reservation and home state reservation as well. For home-state students, the cut-off percentile is even less. Around 50% of the seats are reserved for home-state students.

Only Document verification was done once the documents were uploaded to JOSAA's website. Make sure the documents are updated and not too old. The income certificate must be of the same financial year which might help you to get scholarships.
