4 years good if you get in NIT Jalandhar

To be very honest I didn't choose this course, I got this as my last option. I would suggest carefully making the choices during the counseling process by properly researching the branches and opportunities that you'll get in the future. At beginning, I wasn't happy with my branch but now I am ok with it. Faculties are highly qualified and their teaching methods are also good and they are extremely helpful but some are strict as well. If you focus in class you'll definitely understand what they are teaching and it will be easier to pass in exam. If you want to score really well then you can do so if you start studying at least 10-15 days before exams but if you just want to get passed you have to study the night before but try this at your own risk.

Internship opportunities are available and it is totally based on the skills that you have. There are students who get internships in the second year as well. You have to make good connections with your seniors who'll guide you regarding internships and different opportunities.

Placement is really good and it has exponentially increased over the past years. Lots of companies visit our college every year. It depends on the branch you get. As I am from the biotechnology department placements are not very good but not very bad as well. Core placements are less in this department but you can go for tech placements.

It is affordable for all to study in this college and the fee structure depends on your family income as well. For a student with a general category and family income above 10 lacs a year, it would cost him/her almost 2,20,000(including hostel and mess fee) a year but if your family income is less than 1 lacs then you are not supposed to pay tuition fee and it will cost you almost 1 lacs a year. Also, there are scholarship opportunities for students and you can easily avail study loan.

Campus life is excellent and it actually depends on your friends and how you enjoy. Social life is really good and it actually depends on how you interact with people around you and you make your own circle. The overall campus size is approximately 154 acres with good infrastructure. Utkansh is the annual fest of our college and it occurs in the month of March. It's a 3-day fest which you'll really enjoy. Also "Techniti" is the technical fest in our college. There are multiple clubs in which you can participate and learn a lot such as the debating club, Netra (photography club), and many more.

As I am pursuing a B-tech degree I have given Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) mains. One have to clear JEE mains exam to enter this college. The cutoff for different branches is different and it is based on category and home state or other state. One can check the cutoff on the JOSAA or CSAB site (www.josaa.in). Once you clear your jee mains examination you have to go through the counseling process in which you have to fill out the Colleges and branches as per your preference order.
