Course Curriculum Overview
I always wanted to be an engineer. And computer science is the subject I love most. So after the 12th board exam, it was an easy choice for me to get into an engineering college. In college our student-faculty ratio is 4:1. Our faculty members are pretty much qualified and their teaching methods are good. There are 2 semesters within a year. Total 8 semesters of 4 years B.Tech course.
Placement Experience
There is pretty much a good placement scenario. Almost all the students got placed in different companies, especially from CSE, IT, and ECE departments. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Infosys, and IBM recruit students from our college. Our height package is 18 lpa and the average package is 3.5 lpa. Almost 96 percent of students get placed in different companies.
Fees and Financial Aid
If a student gets admission into a government college then 4 years fee is within 20,000 (without hostel fees) except for IITs, and NITs, and for a private college, the 4-year fee is 4 lakh (without hostel fees) in West Bengal only. If anyone wants to go outside West Bengal through JEE mains then it's different. But there is good news for students they can apply for scholarships from government and private institutions.
Campus Life
My college life is pretty good. Our annual fest is Calarav and our tech fest is Phoenix. The fests are organized at end of the July. Our college has a big library where students can find all kinds of books and journals easily. Students can have one-to-one interaction with the professors and the professors are very helpful. Our college has a sports club, film club, coding club, etc.
Admission
I've given WBJEE. My rank was 23000. On the basis of the rank, I've gone through the WBJEE counseling and filled my choice of department and college. After 1 week of choice filling I got a college named Future Institute of Engineering and Management, where I took admission. In the process of getting into colleges, there is a reservation benefit but it's minor. The most important is WBJEE rank. The eligibility for this course is the applicant should pass the 12th board exam and WBJEE. Applicants can find the application form, application fees, and application dates on the internet easily.
