I like the campus as it was very beautiful. And also mess food is very good

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose electrocal as it is a circuital branch so have better chances to get an internship and placement. The faculty-student ratio is quite good around 5. All faculties are very well educated as they teach very nicely. Some facilities share slides and teach from there and some write on their own on the big screen. The exam is quite difficult and the main exam happens every 2 months and quizzes happen every month

Internships Opportunities

Google came and took around 4 people, Microsoft took around 5 people and one of the mass recruiters took around 24 people. Also, we can do internships under our professor as in my college many profs are working on different projects

Placement Experience

Placement is quite good as IIT is preferred by the companies to select the best talent. The average package of my branch is 18 lakh per annum and for college is around 13 lakh. every renowned company came to our college like Amazon google Microsoft TCS oracle Texas instrument. Around 85% of students get placed. I plan to work as a software designer

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for the Obc students is very low. And SC-ST students have to pay only around 3000 per year. For general students, it is quite high around 1 lakh for 1 semester. There were various scholarships for the students whose family income was very low. Also, there were scholarships for female candidates.

Campus Life

Fest is quite good. Our fest's name is Zeitgeist and it occurs in November various stars come for the fest and one of the biggest fest in north India. Tech fest name is Advitiya and it is conducted in the fab month. There were ample amounts of books in the library which we can issue for 14 days. There were so many sports tournaments happening in our college. And one of the famous is inter IIT. There were so many clubs for every activity from placement related, sports-related and literature related

Hostel Facilities

My college hostel is one of the best among all IITs as they were newly built and many facilities are there including a lift and indoor games were there. Mess quality is quite good and we get one sweet dish every night. Registration is done in the college itself.

Hostel Fee: INR 7000 per year

Admission

Eligibility is clear jee advance exam with a good rank There is a reservation for girls with 20 per cent of seats. Also, there is a reservation for SC, st, obc candidate No improvement is required as Jee Advance is one of the best ways to select students

Placement Experience:

from 6th semester students become eligible for the placements and they should not have any backolgs or reappers in the exam and they should have morethan then 5 cgpa . as i am from the 2nd yeari donot know more aboutm the placement offered made but the average packagr is 3.5 to 4 lakhs per annual and around 70 to 80 percent of students are get selected in placement . and planns after getting the degree is to do higher studies in aerospace designing in the aircrafts.

Placement Experience:

Here, the placement drive starts at the beginning of the 5th semester and goes till the end of the 8th semester. Here, all MNC like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Capgemini, and many other companies come to our campus for hiring. In the very last year 2 students got selected with a prestigeous 2.5cr & 1 cr packages.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester onwards students are eligible for the campus placement. Either they get internship or they get placement offers . Number of companies visited are more than 50. I will give some examples of some best companies like google , microsoft, accenture, virtusa, lenovo , Paypal, shadii. Com , JP morgan and many more other good companies visit to our college. Highest package last year was 52 lakh and the average package was 6 lakhs . More than 70 percent Student are getting placement. My plans after the degree is to get a good job in a good company

An honest Insight of my college LPU

The course curriculum should be rated on how useful and complete it is. A good one covers all important topics like Software , Networking , Automata , SQLetc. it is mix theory and practical work . For CSE studendent there are coding laguage like C++ in 3rd sem and DSA in 4th semester.

The best out of best about iit ropar

I applied to iit gandhinagar electrical engineering and got rejected as my jee advanced rank was not as par as required to take the course.the admission process of our college is based on an examination called jee advanced and if u get a good rank and pass that examination u can enter our college.i also applied for iit hyd,iit jodhpur etc in which I have got an admission in another branch as I said earlier as I like the electrical engineering branch I joined iit ropar .or college might be worst in sports in comparison to other iits but they are always better than other iits in reasearch orientation side...Read More
