Review about College environment, Hostel and Placement

I chose this course as it has a high scope for the future. Electronics and communication is such a vast field that it is almost applicable in every other field, be it medical, electrical, IT, computer or many other fields. The faculty members here are very helpful and friendly, they all are highly qualified professors and teach amazingly, they will help you anytime you face difficulties. Every 2 weeks, we are given assignments to solve, class tests are taken after the completion of chapters, the term exams are conducted timely and the difficulty is moderate.

The college conducts many mini projects where even students from 1st year can take part. They give us an opportunity about how research and development works. The internship opportunities are provided from the 3rd year and placements from the 4th year. Many companies visit our college including the mass recruiters Wipro, TCS, cognizant etc. Mostly the students are placed in Wipro, cognizant and many other MNCs.

On-campus placements here are good. Students become eligible for placement after the 4th semester, i.e., from the 3rd year they get internship opportunities and from the 7th semester. from 4th year direct placements take off. About 70-80% got placed last year with an average package of 4-6L. Students who didn't get any placement either opt for higher studies or try for off-campus placements.

Fees structure for what I'm pursuing, i.e., B.Tech is approx 3.9L for 4 years. They also provide you with an education loan for these 4 years with no interest. You can also apply for scholarships. The placement here is good, the average package this year was around 4-6L.

The campus here is very small, it consists of three buildings named Block A, B & C. It's a bit congested but clean. They don't have a playground so the sports activities are conducted nearer grounds away from the college. They have many forums for students to join like: Literary forum, orator's forum, sports forum, visual arts forum, tech forum, etc. These forums conduct various activities throughout the year. They have a huge library with almost 44,000 books of various kinds and it's clean and well managed. They even have a digital library where you can avail many other books.

The hostel rent per month for first year is Rs6,600. It increases by some amount for 2nd, 3rd and 4th year. An additional amount of Rs5000 is given as security deposit that will be refunded when you leave the hostel.The facilities here are good. Food is provided three times a day, rooms and bathrooms are cleaned every week regularly, we have security guards and cameras as well. It's near to the college.

I entered this college with a WBJEE rank. The admission process was very well managed. After the WBJEE results were announced and I was allotted, we were given a call by the college itself about the whole admission process and document requirements, they gave an address & date. The verification and everything was completed within 2 weeks and the college started.
