I got into this college after successfully completing wbjee examination in 2016 as per my rank in the exam. I chose electronics and communication as my stream. There were two rounds of interview at the time of admission. The previous track record of the institution was really good so I choose this one.

They gave equal emphasise on both core research related electronics subjects and Industry related IT subjects . It was upto the students which way they wantedto proceed .we had the privilege to choose our optional subjects . Major focus was on core electronic and communication repeated subjects .

No. The office authority sells stories only. Tech Mahindra is the only CMM level 5 company which visits the campus every year. And they take the best students available. Some others small IT companies also visit the campus but they don't offer packages as per industry standard

They celebrate freshers day , there is a tech fest happens every year for 5 contionus days , they celebrate almost all the local festivals and rituals .there is an annual prize distribution and function as well. Biswakrama Puja is celebrated in a big way . On the eve of saraswati Puja students themselves arrange one cultural night. Usually every departmental HOD arranges a lunch day every semester for the students .

They takes fee as per standard . Not really expensive . For the needy student they give half or full fees waiver as well .one of my friend suffered a very unfortunate loss of his father. They relieved him from all his semester fees and themselves helped him with necessary assistance . For the minority people also they give some discounts on the total fees .But there is some conditions as well . One must secure 75 percent attendance and atleast a SGPA of 7 and above .

There is no Scholarship concept as such . But the needy students who doesn't have a strong financial back ground are generally need to pay half of the tuition fees or in some cases they give full fee waiver too .

Both boys and girls take parts in various inter college competitions and tech fests . In my time I went to iit Bombay for robotics competition and stood 2nd there along with 2 of my batchmates . College always encourages for extracurricular activities . An annual sports event happens every year .

There is no hostel facility available . There are a lot of private mess near the campus . Livlihood standard of Calcutta is always great and cheap . In the campus there are two canteens where one can have lunch and snacks as well. Food quality is standard , nothing great but good enough .

Yes . Very much.they shared very important experinecs of their own which made us take the correct calls . We have a very strong network amongst us . We are connected in various social media networks . All the latest news from the college are available there.

There are two semesters per year. There are two internal exams for every theory paper per semester of 15 marks each. Each semester will have theory exam of different subjects of 70 marks. So total 100 marks theory exam per subject is conducted in every semester along with 100 marks practical if applicable.

After my wbjee result was out i had to fill up an online form mentioning my the list of my preferred college with preferred stream . As per the merit list rank o was given this college which was my 4th preference . As the track record of the college was good I chose it happily .

The best part of this institution is the faculties we had . They were extremely helpful . They would know how much and where we are going to lag so took extra care . They made the theory classes so interesting people stopped bunking classes if they are in the college .
