VIVA Institute is a fairly decent collegesome departments are good and some are bad electrical is the best department the facilities in electrical are good but the professors don't work by logic they work by attitude.

I got admission through JEE-Mains and scored well in that exam. I chose this college because of many reasons that are -it is nearby my home, it is the first private college in western mumbai which started electrical engineering so it's almost best to other branches academic management.

Faculty at Viva Institute of Technology is not bad, average. Although most of them dont have much experience in teaching and are only fresher, they manage to teach well somehow. The experienced professors are very good. Faculties for Electrical are the best of all. For EXTC, Civil and Mechanical too faculty is good except that they're strict in EXTC. Some of the teachers are rude and egoistic but most of them are helpful and understanding.

The placements for first batch (passed in 2013) were disappointing. Very few companies came for campus recruitment. Hence only a handful of students were able to bag jobs and that too in local cos. like Raw Engineering and Parekh Aluminium. No placements for Electrical department. Average salary was around 1.5 Lakh and highest was 1.8 Lakh per annum.

There are two festivals organise by college first one is the Tech-chase n another one is the Hitaishi. Tech-chase is the Technical festival and Hitashi is the annual cultural function.

Fee structure is comparative enough good with other colleges but they increase our fee per year like i paid Rs.73000/- in FE but Rs.93000/- in SE.

Yes there is a facility for scholarships and loan facility. We can take loan from any bank for our fee payment. Banks are allowed this college.

Viva Institute of Technology (VIoT) is a comparatively a new college. Good faculty is favourable factor but there are many more adverse factors like accessibility and placements. However, students studying here are hopeful that things will improve over time. Those scoring below average in entrance exam usually opt for this college.

There is no hostel facility but it has only one canteen.It is a very small canteen and seating arrangement is also quite poor. There are only a few tables and its accompanying chairs for over 1000 people from different courses offered on the same campus l

Seniors say Happiness and Sadness are the part of our life like as we feel same in this college in 4 years of academic.

Electrical department do have their own labs also both the buildings have been completed with the construction and they take very tough exam.
