- The infrastructure is quite old and not well maintained.
- The girls boy ratio is not so good as compared to other nites
- The language barrier because of mainly Bengali speaking faculty.
Course Curriculum Overview
Mechanical engineering at this institute is quite good in term of placement, research opportunities and alumni network. Faculty of this department are highly qualified and have done significant research work.There are two exams in a semester 'mid term and final term' and are of moderate difficulty.
Placement Experience
The Average placement in mechanical engineering is 8.5lpa and median is 8.75 lpa.The students from 6th semester are eligible for placement about 85% of the students were placed.Maximum was 1.2cpa which was in non core company and off campus.The highest in core was 15 lpa
Fees and Financial Aid
The course fee structure for a general category student is 62500 per semester and there is fee waiver provided according to finical condition of the student's.Hostel fee is 30000 per semester,no fee waiver is given in this.
Campus Life
The name of the annual fest is rebbeca and their are many more cultural activities,the technical fest such as instro are conducted by department of mechanical engineering.There are lot of clubs for various activities such as euphony,reflexobita etc.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is provided to allmost every student and locals residing within the radius of 100km do not get hostel,if seats are left then they are provided.The rooms are sufficiently big and four seater.Mess food is average and according to will of students.
Admission
Admission process was quite smooth, to get into mechanical department you need to have 96.65 percentile if you are from general category through CSab round, if you are from any reserved category or female you can get admitted through lower percentile.
