Course Curriculum Overview
The maximum companies came to hire computer science students that's why I choose this branch at it has better placement rate in past year. We have faculty:student ratio of 1:8 which is pretty good. Major exam is conducted at the end of semester and we have 2 minor in between.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are only available for 3rd year students and also there is not so many. Students have to apply for internship off-campus based on their skills but none of the company visits our college to give us internship.
Placement Experience
Although SLIET provide 85% placement percentage but the highest package and median package in 2022 stood at 18LPA and 4.5LPA respectively which pretty low based on a NIRF ranking of SLIET. Companies like Capgemini, Wipro , Infosys hires students but the package is very low like 3.5-7.5LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
Total tution fee for all the 8 semester is 2.7L which i thing is another good thing about this college cause most of the students are not comes from wealthy family. SLIET also provide fee waiver for those who comes in a merit list.
Campus Life
We have annual fest called MADHURAM in the month of October at the campus of Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology where students can open up their own stall and represent different cultures of India at one place.
Admission
I scored 92k rank in Jee mains and with the help of OBC Reservation I got CS in this college. You'll have to pay the whole fee on Josaa/csab website as seat confirmation. In my case I had to pay total of 72000 rs.
