The college is good with a good infrastructure and good facilities. The management is also helpful. The only thing that needs a change is fairness in evaluation and the change in grading system so that the students get the desired cgpa for which they have worked hard.

I tookup the SRMJEEE and scored a rank of 19000. I chose this college as its one of the best for Mechatronics engineering.

The course curriculum is good i can say not the best. It has all the necessary subjects related to the course opted but it lacks in the research field. The students pursuing this course cannot really go for research work as they are not trained upto that desired level required for research.

Yes the college provides internships during the vacations. But generally they do not offer any stipend as of now.

The placements at SRM were good. Srm university at a time was known for its placements but now they lack in placements as there are many problems and its been losing the good name since past few years. Now only a student with a high cgpa of 8 and above can expect a placement with good package and some witb lower cgpa might not even get placed in campus placements.

SRM university is famous for its cultural events. SHURU, MILAN, AARUSH are the best cultural events hosted in the university. Students and people from all over the country are invited and can participate. Any famous personality is called for the inaugrations and till now many famous actors , and multitalented people have visited.

The fee structure is quite expensive here. The fees are varying department wise. Aerospace and Nanotech cost a bit higher where as departments such as cse , It cost around 3 lacs. The fees are only paid towards the tution fees. Other options such as food and hostel are charged extra.

There are scholarships provided by the college management. A student who is a board topper is offer 100% fee waiver and also students scoring the first 100 ranks in SRMJEEE are also given 100% fee waiver and candidates representing national or state in any sport are given a free seat under sports quota.

Campus life at SRM university is good. A student can have a lot of fun and is also provided with many good self developing oppurtunities. There are many sports area for extra carricular sports. And the labs provided are equipped with highly specialised instruments and machines. There are no gender discriminations in the college. And not even any discrimination with regards to religion. Everyone is treated equally.

The hostel rooms are optional and have different options to choose from, Such as non-ac, and ac attached. Bathroom included or not. The prices also vary accordingly. The mess food is provided for the students staying in the hostel, it has a separate charge too. The food provided is okay I can say it is not that healthy and is sometimes not good at all. The taste is worst and 90% of the students do not like the food provided.

Alumni meets are held regularly where the students get to interact with them and can gain good knowledge too. Yes the senior students are very helpful and supportive too.

The exam structure at srm has a division of internal and university semester exams. Internals carry 50% weight comprising of cycle tests and assignments. And university exam carries a weight of 50%. SRM says it follows AICTE guidelines but no it does not. According to AICTE, the passing mark is 40 but SRM has a passing mark of 50. And the grading system is also totally unfair and students don't get the desired fruit for the hard work they do.

I was called for counselling. I was selected based on rank and was asked to complete my admission by paying the fee in form of DD. Once the fees was paid and documents were submitted i was given provisional admission letter and was called back after a month to complete all the formalities and get my final admission letter and collect my ID card.

The faculty at the university campus are well educated and trained with master level degrees. They have all the basic and complex level knowledge required for training the students in each and every particular aspect. But still, as we can find everywhere there are some faculties who are not that much capacity and are also partial toward the local students so the students from other states have to face some difficulties with them.
