Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Student who is opting for Physics Hons. should be interesting in physics and maths. This course also opens many opportunities to explore the working of nature. One can go for research in ISRO , BARC , etc. You can also join as lecturer in colleges by further studies in physics(post graduation, Phd).In India there are limited opportunities, but you can go easily in foreign countries and there is a big sea of opportunities in Physics(but only graduation in Physics is not enough you have to do masters too).Faculty students ratio is about 50-60 students per teacher. All the faculty members are well qualified and done great in their research work , they also inspire students towards research. The are always available for your doubts, but their is no spoon feeding from any teacher. Exams are done on the semester basis , (approx 4-5 months study and then exams ).Exams are not that much difficult, one can crack them easily and maintaing good CGPA

Internships Opportunities

3.5

College provide internship opportunities in summer break , one of most famous of them is Vice Chancellor Summer Internship programme with good stipend. Placement is done for the BCom students mostly. But college provide enough exposure and qualification to decorate the CV and it is beneficial for holding good position in Corporate as well as Government jobs.

Fees and Financial Aid

Annual fees of the course is approximately 13000-14000Rs. KMC provide courses at a very low fees compared to other colleges in DU with best education.Boys can also apply for hostel , hostel is given on the basis of score in CUET. The annual fee for hostel is 50000 Rs.approximately. College also offers lots of scholarship time.INSPIRE scholarhip is also one of them. Along with this college provide , Vice Chancellor internships with stipends to the students , their selection is done on the basis of marks and interview. Pulbangash and Vishwavidyalya(2km from college )are the nearest metro stations.Pulbangash and Sabji Mandi are the nearest railway station(2-3km from college). For the students who come from financially weak families , they also get financial assistance in college by getting reducation in fees.

Campus Life

5

There are numerous fest that happens in the college. In every month , there are are 3-4 minimum fests in the college organised by different societies of college like Debate society, NCC , NSS , Music society , Dance society, Business related societies , Departmental societies. College has a good library , having all the necessary books , along this college has a good facility of reading rooms in the library , newspapers , magazines, completion books , etc. Classrooms have good furniture. Mostly all the classes in science department has projectors. Labs are also good along with good lab assistants.College has a good playground for Hockey , boxing , volleyball , cricket, football, basket ball , badminton, etc. College provides good exposure to extra curricular activities with lots of societies. College has one of the best NCC unit having highest number of officers in entire Delhi Directorate. There are lots of societies and clubs run by students in guidance of teachers.

Admission

From 2022 , CUET is mandatory for entrance to Delhi University Colleges. Questions in cuet is easier in comparison to JEE and NEET. For BSc physics hons. , one has to select physics , chemistry and mathematics along with one language(I chose English). You can easily crack the entrance if you are applying for science stream graduation, if you are choosing Arts or Commerce courses , then competition is much high. If you are belonging from reserved category(SC, ST ,OBC ,EWS) then the cut off is not that much high , most of the students got admission in 3 or 4th rounds of admission. In my time CUET was newly imposed, so competition was not that much high, but with time , competition is also increasing in this entrance too.Admission process through cuet has become more smoother and clear. Your 12th marks are not counted in CUET. Admission is purely based on the marks you got in CUET exam.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum consists of relatable topics and interesting ones as well this is what quite influenced me to take this course. We have labs which help us learn how to prepare various organic compounds which are used in many day to day products . The course also has a 4th year research program. There should be more equipments in lab for the research. The frequency is good for exams being conducted and there level is also quite good

The students become eligible for the placements provided by the college in their 3rd year, while they can pursue internship offered by the college in previous years. Average sized companies visited the campus with lots of students being placed for jobs. The highest package I am not aware of but lowest was of around 300000 pa. I plan to pursue masters after my graduation degree.

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. I don't know a lot about campus placements but I know that there is a training and placement cell in our college that provides good packages to many students. Some students got more than 7lpa last year. I will be doing my Post graduation after college and will make a career in academics.
