Course Curriculum Overview
my course is computer science and communication. I chose this course as it's the rising technology and knowledge needed for future opportunities. course is similar to core computer science but with few communication subjects. The student-to-faculty ratio is about 1:14. qualification of faculty is high level and teaching methods are really satisfying and understanding. there is one mid-term exam every semester and the paper quality is good not hard to pass and score well if you are up-to-date with your studies.
Internships Opportunities
A few companies that visit MIT are Microsoft, Amazon, Google, IBM, etc. Roles they offer are web developers, associate engineers, mechanical engineers, software engineers, etc. projects and tasks will be given like programming questions based on arrays, etc., and HR rounds and aptitude tests.
Placement Experience
students are eligible for placements from 3rd year and are supposed to and expected to have an internship by then too. A huge number of companies visit the campus and offer different packages depending on your cgpa the complete details are given on the website MIT. The highest package was 60 lakh last year and the average was 15 lakh. Almost all students have a cgpa of 6 or plus. My plans after getting my degree are to work for a few years and then do my master's.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are very high considering it is a private institute. but they have many scholarships you can avail which are broadly given on the official Manipal Institute of Technology website. Placements are really good and are promising.
Campus Life
There is one cultural fest called Revels and one technical fest called Tech Tatva held in the months of March and October respectively. campus had a huge library having a separate section for course material and journals. The classrooms have AC and projectors and have a recording system to record every class in case you've missed it u can watch it on a website called impartus. Sports facilities are extraordinary you have a team for every sport you can name and has great infrastructure for the same and has many cultural and technical clubs total of around 200 clubs. Many student projects are present too like Formula Manipal, Mars rover Manipal, etc.
Hostel Facilities
There are different types of rooms single double and triple with AC and non-AC and rooms with attached bathrooms and rooms with common bathrooms. rooms have a wardrobe bed and table with utilities for the washroom. The menu for food is 100 times better than any other college but still isn't as good as home food. they change menu every week and have a variety of dishes. for breakfast lunch snacks and dinner. registration for a hostel is at the same time as for registration of course it is expensive as it is a private college.
Admission
MET was the entrance exam I took to avail my seat. To be eligible to join the university you should have min percentage in your 12 grade of 50%. The application for the course will be out on the MIT website during entrance exam dates. application fees vary yearly but are around 2.5k and the dates for the exam will be after our mains exam and board exam. Results and ranking will tell you which course and which branch will be MIT. You be eligible for. but this takes a very long to be declared and they should work on it to help us decide faster.
