Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the course ECE because it has a wide domain - circuital and software and always have had a deep interest in this subject. The student-to-faculty ratio stands at 1:60 . The faculty here is very well qualified withholding degrees from prestigious government institutions - iits, nits, etc. The exams are very frequent - LAs, MSEs. A person who self-studies daily wouldn't find it very difficult to pass the exam.
Internships Opportunities
most recruiters were Infosys, Wipro, Nutanix, one direct, nuclei, definitive, axis cades, core-EL, etc. with the majority of them hiring for software roles. The top recruiters from campus were Accenture, Deloitte, Amazon, and Microsoft which provided salaries to graduates at 15lpa.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for placements after 4th sem, there are internship opportunities and companies people can apply to. The average package stands at 7 lakh while the highest package recorded is 45 lakhs. Around 80 percent of students get placed. I plan to get a job after getting my degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee hike is 7 percent per year. I have availed no scholarship or financial assistance. The cost of study for academics stands at around 2 lakh and 60 thousand with 1 lakh and 15 thousand hostel fees. The total fee for four years would be around 17 lakhs.
Campus Life
There are multiple clubs on campus, like gdsc, hackman, fashion@nmit, and salify ( which was introduced recently ). The clubs are very frequent in hiring people from various semesters. A wide variety of books covering multiple disciplines are available in the library. Our college has stood at the top in VTU competitions in sports like volleyball, badminton, and football.
Hostel Facilities
We have a cupboard, a study table, a tiled room, a space above, and a single bed provided in our room. The food quality is good, they serve fresh food and non veg on Wednesdays and Sundays. The hostel costs around 1 lakh and 15 thousand. They took 30k as a security deposit for the first year.
Admission
The eligibility for the comedk exam is a minimum of 60 percent in class 12th with PCM as their major subject. The application is available at the comedk website, the application fee for the same was 1400 rupees. I got admission into this college through comedk entrance and got a seat in the third round of comedk counseling. The admission process was very smooth. There's no need for significant improvement.
