Course Curriculum Overview

I always wanted to be an electrical engineer. Another big reason for opting this course was a it had the most doctorate teachers among all the courses. The faculty student ratio is around 1:10 The exams were moderate to difficult and are within 1 month gaps.

Class Size: 45Course Fees: INR 66000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is not so high. I think with the Swami Vivekananda scholarship which are very much available in West Bengal it can become very affordable. But it has a condition that u must not have any backlog in any sem.

Campus Life

As i am a first year student I don't know much about it bu as I have the tech fests are awesome indeed. There are all sorts of events. The event organisers are very skilled and very passionate. The functions go smooth and good

Admission

I was a direct admission student It provides a lot of btech courses, bca, mba, and b pharm course. There are reservation process also. One can also join using jee mains and wbjee ranks. The college is affiliated to makaut and AICTE.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

THERE ARE FAR BETTER OPTIONS

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

The main reasons for choosing this college was- 1.I had heard a lot about this college in terms of teaching style and the other faculty members. 2. This college provides a good placement . 3. In wbjee minimum rank you should get to admit in cse it branches is 30000... application form are available in college site..it should be better if u do it in offline mode..in a year 2 semesters are organised one in December and one in June....more workers should be hired during admission time.....Read More
