Likes
- Interaction with students.. You would find like minds people around you to spend your time.
- Attendance: There's not very much attendance issues unlike other colleges of IPU.
- Labs: Decent labs and enough equipments for all the experiments.
Dislikes
- Campus Size: Very compact campus as per its name and reputation.
- Fests: Actually there are hardly any good fests and there are not any official freshers too.
- Seniors: Seniors are not very interactive.
Course Curriculum Overview
Well, I was not sure about what to choose, I was double-minded with the recession in the IT sector and the future scope of semiconductors in India and then went with guts feeling with ECE, although my rank was enough to get the IT branch. There would be a mentor for each 30 students, and there are some good faculties as well as rude ones. Exams are almost timely and it's not too difficult to pass mid terms.
Internships Opportunities
Very few internships are availed in the college, most of them are not paid, and very few of them are paid. Usually, Students go for off-campus internships and most students don't even get any internship in their college life.
Placement Experience
Placement of College is decent for the tech branch, and too poor for core branches, they usually go in mass recruiters. On-campus placements don't offer very high amounts, usually, the high amounts of 70-80 LPA or even crores on posters are off campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are not too high which makes the overall ROI better and there are a decent amount of campus placements. But more students go off campus for better opportunities. I haven't had any financial assistance through college, I have availed education loan instead.
Campus Life
College Life is Okay, quite a few societies are active but a lot are just time-consuming. Fests are not good at all in the college. There are enough books in libraries if you need them, and the Classrooms are not too good or too bad.
Admission
Eligibility is 60% aggregate in 12th and then for different branches and colleges there would be a cutoff accordingly. I took admission through JEE mains score, you just have to go to the GGSIPU website and apply for the counselling and then you would choose among different colleges of IPU based on your preference and then your seat would be allotted. I was satisfied with the admission process.
