What Students Say
Likes
- The crowd is not bad and the campus is huge.
- Decent mess facilities and study areas too.
- A lot of seminars and opportunities to improve your skills.
Dislikes
- The teaching isn't as good as you think it is.
- The schedule of a semester is horrible as it is shrunk down to 4 months.
- The new campus still has to be fully constructed.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose it because of the comparatively lower fees and the rank change in kcet. There are about 1000 students in a year, and the faculty are decently numbered. Around 1:50 you could say. The faculty are moderate to highly qualified with most of them having phds but their teaching skills could be questioned. The exam was considerably easy compared to other entrance exams, but it was moderate as a whole.
Internships Opportunities
The internship opportunities come after the 2nd year where you are recommended by the teachers to certain companies. These companies will evaluate your skill level and provide you with an internship with a contract. Projects are also encouraged by the teachers.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are no fee hikes as the fees are fixed through the 4 years. Though it could be less, it is actually moderate compared to the other university fees. Scholarship can obtained through JEE mains percentile.
Campus Life
The annual fest is conducted in December and the tech fest is semester-wise. The recommended books are all available though it could be better to increase the variety of books too. There are Fixed TVs for presentations and 3 boards. A lot of extracurricular activities are there but the only issue is it is not consistent
Admission
My admission was through a university entrance exam, called DSAT. Eligibility was at least 60% in 12th and 10th. The application forms can be found on the website of the University. The filtering process and the difficulty of the questions.
