Likes
- The environment, clean air and the whole campus
- Experiential learning where students get to learn practically more than that of theoretically
- The freedom allowed for the students... Students are free to leave the campus but only after informing the warden . They can stay outside during the weekends.
Dislikes
- I believe the CPUs could create a strong management system in such a way that students would be afraid of doing wrong things .
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose 2 year Cardiff program which includes the syllabus of PGDM as well as Cardiff Metropolitan University. The faculty members are very knowledgeable. They treat us as working professionals rather than just students. The term exams were on time and passing criteria depended on the subjects.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are available in college. I got my internship fixed through college with a stipend of 10000 in Mumbai. I was working with an ad agency and I got the opportunity to with directly with the CEO and MD of the organisation.
Placement Experience
Currently, placements are still going on, and cannot judge the quality of placement right now. Companies like HR Johnson's to ITC, all have called in for placements. None of the salary packages is below 6 lacs. Currently, marketing and HR students are getting placed at a higher rate than others. The highest as of now is 10 lacs offered for HR.
Fees and Financial Aid
I believe the fee structure is a little too high as compared to placements. The average placement is for 7 lacs and paying 13 lacs for the whole course is not really satisfying to me. I applied for an education loan and have been placed in an advertising firm with 6.5 lac.
Campus Life
Campus Life is both fun as well as boring. It depends on your friend circle as well as yourself. Everyone's friendly be it seniors or colleagues. There are various clubs and communities for students and being part of the club is mandatory. I am myself the vice president of the Zalent club which believes in attracting Talent with zeal. Other than clubs we have various functions such as Octave Night, Daawat, etc. wherein students participate and enjoy. The college has everything covered. From libraries to gym etc. Clubs give people an opportunity to represent their leadership and communication abilities.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are overall great as we have clean rooms and the rooms are cleaned twice or thrice a week. Each room is occupied with two beds, two cupboards two tables and chairs, and one AC. Unlike other hostels, the meal is taken care of by Sodexo and they make comparatively great food. Each room has a large window for a side view.
Admission
The admission process was tough compared to other colleges. I cleared my CMAT and applied to Universal Business School.I was contacted through a counselor and she provided me with the application form and other information.
