I chose this college because my rank in JEE is not as good as it takes admission to a top state govt college CSE or IT branch. for every 40 students, there is one professor available. All the faculty are PhD holders. The exam levels are easy to moderate.

Fees and Financial Aid

The entire fee of SOIT for the first year is 40000 per year. For general students, MMVY (Medhavi Yojana) is available, and for OBC students post matric scholarship is available. For ST and SC students some scholarships are also available.

Campus Life

College life is overall average, some fests are organised for students like induction programs, Mahasangram etc. YES, there is a central library present on the college campus. For sports, there is a sports complex available on the campus.

Hostel Facilities

One hostel room is shared by 2 students ,in hostel room 2 bed and 1 table chair is available . IN hostel, mess is available where food quality is decent , we get a breakfast , lunch,evening snacks and dinner in mess.

Hostel Fee: INR 6000 per year

Admission

For admission, we should go through JEE examination, and then we have to apply through mpdte counselling. The application fee for mpdte counselling is 1000 rs. There is also a reservation available for OBC/SC/St students in mpdte counselling.

One becomes eligible for college placements if he/she in their third or fourth year. The number of companies visits are great like Microsoft, JP Morgan Chase &Co. , Atlassian etc. These are the good companies which offers great placements. The percentage of students placed are about 85%. My plans after getting a degree is I'll move in tech based companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Jiwaji is Government university which have a long heritage. But is now coming to the short end of the rope. Institute of Engineering Jiwaji is fairly newly established around 20 to 30 years or so. The faculty is not that great and is not that experienced and have less facilities. Faculty of IEJU is mostly on temporary payroll with some of the permanent faculty. You have entire leasure of time to yourself. So, thing other than couese can be pursued. Hostel facilities are good. If we come to exams Other than Pharmacy and Engineering all other course have tomoy scheduled exams with strict checking and scoring.

Remarks:

My college comes under Institute of National importance,it has amazing placement,the students in this college are very intelligent as everyone joins after qualifying one of the toughest exam JEE advance, college has beautiful campus and has well equipped labs and also hasquite low fee compared to other colleges.

Best government college if rank above 1Lakh-2lakh

I have applied to top government college in M.P. such as SGSITS and DAVV but i knew that i was not going to make in them. but this college is better than any private college out there in terms of fees and placements. I didn't make it to other applied college due to my jee rank obviously. Admission process of this college is that after choice filling and getting into this college you have to come to file some documents written in your mpdte site and confirm your admission by submitting admission and first semester fees.
