Entrance Preview
Maharaja Agrasen Institute Of Technology or MAIT is affiliated to GGSIPU. IPU conducts CET for colleges in Delhi. There is 85% reservation for Delhi students. I got 3000 rank in IPU and managed to bag IT stream in MAIT. One of the best colleges in Delhi-NCR area with almost 100% placement.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is same that of other IPU colleges. There's not much tension for attendance. Electives in 7th sem are MC,RET,DIP etc. Faculty also can give their contact numbers in case of emergency. You can approach them anytime.
Internships Opportunities
For 2nd and 3rd year internships we have to try off campus. No company visits here for internship. According to your qualifications you get the stipend.
Placement Experience
There's almost 100% placement here. Companies like Infosys and Accenture are mass recruiters here which offer 3.25 as package. Other companies like ZS Associates, PayU, Samsung, Nagarro, MuSigma etc offer packages from 4 to 7 LPA. But the average package for the college remains 3.2 only and only few students get placed in high paying companies.
College Events
There's annual fest held in Feb/March (Techsurge and Mridang) which is both technical and cultural. It is celebrated for over 3 days and teams from various colleges participate in it. There are lot of un official freshers party held in sept-oct for first year students by second year students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees for each year is rs. 97250 excluding hostel. This amount is bifurcated into 10000 for university and 1000 for extra activities. Rest is for tuition fees. I feel it is quite expensive considering the activities and facilities offered by the college. Also they charge a refundable security fees of rs 5000 in beginning.
Fees and Financial Aid
Only EWS scholarship is offered by university for economically weaker sections. The forms goes out in aug and interviews are held in dec.
Campus Life
Campus life is extremely chilled out here. There's no tension for attendance and checking in exams is lenient. Girls to boys ratio in each class is around 1:6. Room parties are conducted by hostel students. Occasional workshops do take place and there are various societies like drama, dance, fashion, robotics etc. there's no ragging here or any sort of politics. But standards is not very high here. There's no partiality on any sort of grounds.
Alumni/Alumna
College alumni is good and they are also helpful. but you have to approach them. They help you to find notes, teaching of any topic or even help in having a way with some teachers.
Exam Structure
There are 2 mid semester exams for 30 marks each held in a gap of 1.5 months. Labs and exams are very chilled out and you can prepare a day before the exam. These 30 marks are normalized to 10 marks each and annual exam is of 75 marks. You need to score 5
