Beauty of SLIET

I like to be a mechanical engineer that's why I choose CTD trade in ICD and during my b.tech admission I took admission in Mechanical engineering. Faculty is good , workshop is good . Students are not that much good .One thing is that college must focus on practical things more than lecture. Faculty are qualified and best at their work . Exams held timely and pass the sem is easy because exams held in three faces minore 1 , minor 2 and major .

Actually I am in pre final year And I haven't done any internship yet so I am not capable of answering this question at this moment. Last project I had done was in ICD about additive manufacturing. In second and prefinal year of degree we have to do training in a company which was actually (2 and 4 weeks ) trainin mostly not stipends based .Next year I shall be able to answer this question how college helps in getting internship.

Students are eligible for placement from 7th sem . Companies like L&T , Jindal steel , Mahindra , tata , Wipro , adani , HUL , creamica , cocacola etc. Package offers by these companies range from 3-12 lakhs depends upon capabilities of students. Highest package is 18 lakhs and average is 3.4 lakhs .Now percentage of students getting placed is changing means it is improving. Firstly I would try for campus placement during my degree.

This college is so cheap in matter of fees no one believes . SLIET provides everything to student like medical help , gym , good environment , shops , restaurant , temple etc . This college is affordable for everyone that's why here quality of students is so bad .

There is a tech- fest which held on March every year and , food fest September and cultural fest in oct. Library is full of book almost every book which is needed for your course or goals are available here . College is in process of upgradation. Smart classroom new blocked construction is in process. Daily sports activity like football , cricket, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, badminton etc Groups like - Happy club , sviesa , endeavours

I think everything is available room which a student needs . Led lights , two fans , 3 seater ( 3 almirahs, 3 study table ), T.V room ( for important cricket matches) and table tennis room and a beautiful garden.

SLIET provide two entrances for two different courses first one is ICD and second one is B.E . I took both the entrance. For ICD ( Integrated certificate diploma ) Minimum qualification is 10th pass out from any board . For BE Candidate need to have Diploma from any college. Improvement I need in admission process - Cut off must go higher and college must focus on quality students not quantity. Because college in infrastructure and environment is A grade but due to poor quality students this college is not getting that NIRF ranking which it deserves.
