Likes

Teaching and non teaching staff of lab was very helpful and considerate
Labs and all amenities are good especially from science student’s point of view
Societies are very active and there is a lot of scope for overall personality development

Dislikes

Canteen food could be made better, but since its tender gets changed every year, it might be good now

Course Curriculum Overview

I was interested in physics since school. And faculty of physics in ramjas is top notch. All teachers are very learned and qualified. They try their best. And also help with dissertation and all. Exams are held semester wise.. that is in every 5months approx.

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 34000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees of wjole DU is very nominal especially as compared to the infrastructure and facilities it provide. Also there are many scholarships available.. they start from school time itself for example NSP,Inspire, etc.

Campus Life

Campus life is great. Especially not only because of college, but due to its location in the heart of north campus. Many fests are held throughout the year, be it society's fests,diwali mela pr something else. Library is also good, it is renovated this year only. Classrooms are good too. They get renovated time to time. There is a huge sports ground and also indoor sports facilities. Also there are numerous societies such as debating society, dance,art,NSS,etc

Admission

During our session there was no exam, but now, one has to give CUET UG. Applications can be found on DU website. There are various kinds of reservations that can be availed for example there is defence quota and also caste based reservation

Placement Experience:

placements cells were little challenging . there were really less near to zero placement were there .so thats a problem you have to go for higher studies to get a good job and financial stability mostly students do this only.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum consists of relatable topics and interesting ones as well this is what quite influenced me to take this course. We have labs which help us learn how to prepare various organic compounds which are used in many day to day products . The course also has a 4th year research program. There should be more equipments in lab for the research. The frequency is good for exams being conducted and there level is also quite good

Placement Experience:

Maitreyi college's BSc life sciences is a three year course and admits almost 130 students . The average package is INR3.40 LAKHS but is very difficult for the students to get placed under this course

Shivaji College Experience

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for the placements provided by the college in their 3rd year, while they can pursue internship offered by the college in previous years. Average sized companies visited the campus with lots of students being placed for jobs. The highest package I am not aware of but lowest was of around 300000 pa. I plan to pursue masters after my graduation degree.

Life in Kirori Mal College.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. I don't know a lot about campus placements but I know that there is a training and placement cell in our college that provides good packages to many students. Some students got more than 7lpa last year. I will be doing my Post graduation after college and will make a career in academics.

Well you need to very lucky to have been a part of Sri Venkateswara college.Only think we missed back then was auditorium and hostels which am sure are there now.A very positive and caring vibe you got.Reddy Sir our principal in last few months invited me to share tirupati prasad he got that was the level and depth of community interaction and love.

Remarks:

Canteen of the college is not much good. But it is good for a student. We can make our career in different field from this college. It has provided us playing material so student cam play there favourite game

The admission process of the college is through Cuet ug admission examination, I had applied to other top colleges of The University of Delhi including Kirori Mal College, Hindu College, St. Stephen's College and Hansraj College, However my score was best suited for Ramjas and I was allocated this college during counseling process. For admission into Delhi University, CUET exam is conducted based on your 12th subjects. Scoring atleast 750 above out of 800 is necessary to get into top colleges like Hindu, LSR, SRCC etc. Then based on the marks , you are allotted the college , there are 3 rounds of allotment.
