- Classrooms are good and also some faculties are helpful.
- Living is hostel is not bad except for the food and wifi problem
- Passing exams and maintaining decent cgp are not that difficult as you can do it only studying few days before exams
Dislikes
- No fest or annual function took place in my 4 years of college and this hurts me!
- Food of hostel mess is bad and also they cause trouble regarding quantity.
- 4th year project is giving more headache than expected as after placement we didn't expect things to be this troublesome in final year.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course as I had an interest in programming and developing. Faculty to student ratio would be approximately 1:8. Qualification would be good for most of them but about teaching method depends upon every faculty; some would teach properly while some might give you a headache by causing unnecessary problems regarding assignments or projects. Exams timing was quite alright and also you could pass easily only studying the night before exams but still, if you aren't confident you should study beforehand.
Internships Opportunities
Quite a few companies came for internships like fidelity, Autodesk, high radius, Tejas, etc. and most of them were for software engineers. I didn't do any internship offered from the college side so I don't have much idea about projects given in internships.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements as soon as they finish 3rd year. They can apply for internships from 2nd year though. A lot of good companies will visit but as our batch is unlucky, this year the recession is going on so hiring is not as much as in other years. Luckily I got placed but not even 50% of students are placed this year yet. The highest package this year was 22lpa bagged by a single student and the average package would be 5-6lpa for this year. About 40-45% of students are placed yet for batch 2024. I'll start working at L&T company as I got placed there.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our course fee is 2.35 lakhs which might increase for every new batch and our current hostel fee is 88000. You can avail of a scholarship depending on your 12th board percentage or GPA and bt maintaining about 80% attendance in college. I am currently in my 4th year and I got placed in LTTS (L&T Technology Services). This year due to the recession placement is quite difficult as not even 50% of students of our batch got placed yet.
Campus Life
Campus Life was too boring for me as not even a single fest or annual function or anything took place in our college in my 4 years of college life. There is no fest no celebration no events nothing. But yes there would be a few hackathons. Most of the books you need will be available in our library. The classroom has good amenities like AC which might not function a lot of time and some of them have smartboards. Forget about sports there is not even a single ground on our campus. Only one decent basketball court and a below-average cricket net are there. If you wanna play anything else you gonna have a hard time. There are a lot of clubs like photography, music, dance, robotics, etc.
Admission
We had an admission test called SAAT which was online during lockdown. You can apply at soa official website. Our application fee was free but the course fee is 2.35lakhs per year. There are no reservation benefits for admission to this college. The application process was hassle-free as the college wouldn't cause any trouble while taking more and more students.
