A review on the largest NIT Campus

I choose the course because I was intrested in mechatronics and was intrested in the knowing the mechanical aspect of mechatronics. The faculty:student ratio is quite great actually with every class having 70 students . Nearly 1:9 All the faculties are masters in their field of research with high qualifications. We have exams every two months . One mid semester exam and one end semester exam is held in a semester.

Students become eligible for internships in their 5th semester and for job placements in their 7th semester Famous companies that visit nitr - oracle , Texas instruments, Microsoft , Qualcomm , tata steel , bajaj auto , itc ... My plans after getting a degree are not quite clear with respect to what I'll be doing in future :/

The fees is moderately high if the students family income is above 5L . I.e 99,000 per semester . But if your family belongs to an economically weaker section then there are great subsidies given and if the overall family income is below 1L then the entire tution fees is relieved. Currently I am in my third year and I have got one internship at iit Bombay as a result of winning a robotics competition .

All classroom have state of the art amenities like acs , projectors , benches in good condition ... Nit Rourkela is known for student clubs . Some of the famous ones are - cyborg ( robotics and automation club ) , aps ( algorithmic and programming society) , pantomime ( dramatics club ) , ritvic ( cultural club ) and many more....

A typical boys room is a two seater room with two beds and two tables . The meals provided in the mess are quite great and non vegetarian food is served for almost 3-4 days a week. Hostel registration and everything takes place through nitris. The campus is a residential campus meaning all the students live inside the campus only .

Jee mains score is considered for getting a seat in national institute of technology, Rourkela. My percentile ( best one out of 4 ) was 98.3 which landed me in the department of mechanical engineering for a 4yr btech course. All the application process takes place though josaa counselling only and further the college sends you an email regarding all the registration processes. There are many benefits of reservation . For eg - one could get the same branch at a lower percentile if he /she was from home state odisha or having an OBC certificate eligibility. As far as I remember, my admission process was hassle free and I didn't face any problems . The college management was very helpful at times I was stuck somewhere.
