placements are very good in compared to other private colleges
faculties are also good all faculties done their phd from IIT's
the classrooms and the 5g labs are also good

Dislikes

things i dislike is vit is very strict in many things
hostel timing for boys ends at 9 pm and for girls 8 pm
outings only allowed for 6 hours like 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm

I choose AI and robotics because AI has the future and I have an interest in this kind a field. all faculties are very good. all faculties did their Ph.D. from IITs. every month there is an exam and the toughness level is also so difficult.

placements are good for our campus after 5th-semester students are eligible for campus placements. many companies visited last year like Microsoft google and many others. the highest package was 1.02 crore and the average package was 9 lakhs.

there are 5 categories of fees in vit in category 1: fees of 2 lakh, category 2: fees of 3 lakh, category 3: fees of 4 lakh, category 4: fees of 4.5 lakhs, and category 5: fees of 5 lakhs per year. if your rank is below 1000 in viteee then you will get some scholarship.

Campus Life

there is too much fest in our college like vibrance, technovit and many others. there are too many books available in the library. labs are also good. sports facilities are also good. and there are several clubs to join.

Admission

minimum eligibility is 60% in PCM, you can find the application form on the VIT website application form fees are 1150 online or 1200 offline application dates will be in march or April of next year. improvements reduce the application fees.

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

Balanced Engineering Journey At Vit Chennai

I applied for SRM, once considered admission in LPU but finally chose VIT due it's reputation and strong placements. Other colleges which I applied for required strong jee scores for admission. Is VIT worth it

From th start of the 12th class I wanted IIT and my second option was VIT over NITs because it has very good facilities. I didn't get good marks in my JEE advance so I choose VIT. I had given exams of various other colleges like Kalinga Insititute of technology(KIT), SRM, BITSAT etc. i chose VIT as my college was because it is one of the most renowned colleges of India. VIT has a tag value of its own and it does make a difference if you add "VIT" as your college in your resume. The admission process of this college goes by giving an examination called VITEEE which is held after jee mains. The syllabus for the same is similar to jee mains and the good thing is it has no negative marking. All 12th pass students with a minimum of 60% are eligible to write this entrance test.
