sometimes the mess food is not that good, so this is the issue
the sports here is also not good so that should be improved
the exams here are sometimes are hard so we have to gave more efforts

Course Curriculum Overview

I am in btech computer science. I like computers and coding, that is why I chose this course. student-faculty ratio is 5:1 qualification of faculty should be: Phd. the teaching method is very good. 2 CAT(continuous exams are held) and 1 half sem exam named FAT, so 4 CAT and 2 FAT per year. the difficulty level is medium.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 300000 per year

Internships Opportunities

in our college there are a lot of companies coming, they provide good opportunities here like google, Microsoft, zomato etc. so if someone works hard get a good placement here, our college provides many opportunities here.

Placement Experience

from 4th year onwards placements begin.. from 3rd year internship begins The highest CTC is around 50lpa average is 9lpa percentage of students getting placed: - 90% my plan is to get a good job, that is I should get a good on-campus placement

Fees and Financial Aid

Since it is a private college, therefore fees are high. The fees are based on category, that is according to the exam VITEE. if you perform well in VITEE, then you will get Category 1 or Category 2 and so on. I am in category 2, my fees is: around 20 lakh(including all the things)

Campus Life

Once in a year, there is a fest in our vit name VIBRANCE. there is a good library on our campus, that contains a of books, so there are plenty of books available. sports is also good here but I would say not that much. there are a lot of clubs in our college.

Hostel Facilities

there ara 2 bed,6bed ,4 bed ac/non ac rooms available. the rooms are clean and neat,good rooms are there, the food is also good,there are different mess type like non-veg,veg,special mess. registration process is easy that is done in online mode through main collage website. there are locality available nearby,

Hostel Fee: INR 188000 per year

Admission

The admission is taken on the basis of the exam name VITEE. The exam is conducted by vit itself. You can find the application form from the main website of VIT. Every year this exam happens. No reservation is allowed I think they should add negative markings.

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

Placement Experience:

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

It's a good college for me.

Placement Experience:

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

Balanced Engineering Journey At Vit Chennai

I applied for SRM, once considered admission in LPU but finally chose VIT due it's reputation and strong placements. Other colleges which I applied for required strong jee scores for admission. Admission process in VIT is as follows:- 1) write VITEEE exam cause vit doesn't considers jee scores. 2) you must have above 60 percent in boards and above or equal to 60 percent in PCM aggregate. 3)cutoffs, past papers, closing and opening ranks are not revealed si can't say much regarding that. 4) overall admission experience was decent...Read More

Is VIT worth it

From th start of the 12th class I wanted IIT and my second option was VIT over NITs because it has very good facilities. I didn't get good marks in my JEE advance so I choose VIT. I had given exams of various other colleges like Kalinga Insititute of technology(KIT), SRM, BITSAT etc. i chose VIT as my college was because it is one of the most renowned colleges of India. VIT has a tag value of its own and it does make a difference if you add "VIT" as your college in your resume. The admission process of this college goes by giving an examination called VITEEE which is held after jee mains. The syllabus for the same is similar to jee mains and the good thing is it has no negative marking. All 12th pass students with a minimum of 60% are eligible to write this entrance test.
