Likes

The campus is really well maintained and big
We have a number of food courts here so you will never get bored of the food
If you want to do research you can get yourself a faculty member to help u with it

Dislikes

Faculties here are local so it's difficult to connect sometimes
We have common washrooms which are not that clean sometimes
We have hostels upto 16th floor and while taking lift it can get crowded sometimes

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because VIT is famous for its Computer Science course. We have a faulty over ever 30 students in VIT who look after them as guardians. Certain facilities are highly qualified and have contributed in a number of research papers

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 450000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I haven't been into the process of internships yet but as per i know TCS, Cognizant, Microsoft, Google are the companies which come for internships. The stipend one can get is from 10000-40000. Projects can be some real life situation based projects

Placement Experience

From the third year students get eligible for placement. Here we get many MNCs and they offer upto 4 lakhs atleast and the salary can get upto 1cr. More than 90% students do get placed becoz Vit has some rules for placement ensuring everyone gets the opportunity.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are five category in which fees is to be given in every category there is an increase of 1lakh in fees. As of I know there is no financial assistance which is provided although they have some scholarship for the local students

Campus Life

Vibrance is the annual feast which is conducted every year around march. There are sufficient books in the library to issue and it's the one of the best part in VIT Chennai. Classrooms have blackboard and projectors to display the presentation. Students can start a club on there own

Hostel Facilities

We have ac rooms and janitors come once everyday to clean the rooms. Mess food is also good and the menu changes every month. Registration of hostels and mess can be done online as well as offline. I haven't rented a PG still so have no idea

Hostel Fee: INR 200000 per year

Admission

You have to give an entrance exam on the basis of which u will be admitted into the college. You can get all the details from the official website of VIT Chennai regarding the fees. According to me there is no reservation here you can get certain benefits if you are local to Chennai. Improvement i would like see would be that they should tell the marks as well

Course Curriculum Overview:

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

Placement Experience:

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

It's a good college for me.

Placement Experience:

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

because of future is EV. So I will take the EEE for a bright future 50:1 ratio level. Faculty qualification is a minimum PG and most of the faculties are complete Ph.D. each unit has a unit test it is very easy only No difficulty to get a pass.

Balanced Engineering Journey At Vit Chennai

I applied for SRM, once considered admission in LPU but finally chose VIT due it's reputation and strong placements. Other colleges which I applied for required strong jee scores for admission. Admission process in VIT is as follows:- 1) write VITEEE exam cause vit doesn't considers jee scores. 2) you must have above 60 percent in boards and above or equal to 60 percent in PCM aggregate. 3)cutoffs, past papers, closing and opening ranks are not revealed si can't say much regarding that. 4) overall admission experience was decent...Read More

Is VIT worth it

From th start of the 12th class I wanted IIT and my second option was VIT over NITs because it has very good facilities. I didn't get good marks in my JEE advance so I choose VIT. I had given exams of various other colleges like Kalinga Insititute of technology(KIT), SRM, BITSAT etc. i chose VIT as my college was because it is one of the most renowned colleges of India. VIT has a tag value of its own and it does make a difference if you add "VIT" as your college in your resume. The admission process of this college goes by giving an examination called VITEEE which is held after jee mains. The syllabus for the same is similar to jee mains and the good thing is it has no negative marking. All 12th pass students with a minimum of 60% are eligible to write this entrance test.
