Likes

Hostel is one of the things I like cause it is well maintained great infrastructure and better hygiene good food too
Campus is really big with various sports facilities and hangout spots it has gym although not as great

Dislikes

Restriction here at vit is one of the issues you face it doesn't let students go outside the campus
Hostel outing closes at 9 pm for boys and 7pm for girls
Mandatory attendance in college you must keep your attendance above 75%every sem

It is one of the most in-demand course although due to the high intake of students, the teacher-to-student ratio is kind of unbiased the qualification of teachers is good the timings of term exams are quite tight you get a lot of exams in a single semester and difficulty is medium

Internships Opportunities

VIT gives a lot of internship opportunities to students all the 3rd year students are out of campus on internship companies like Google and Microsoft come to VIT to find students for internship project are handed out to students from the first year onwards and contains a lot of credits in vit

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for placement at the end of 3rd year and it has a variety of famous companies visiting highest package was 1.3 crore in the year 2022 and the average is about 9-10 lakh per annum around 80% of students get placed masters

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are considerably high compared to its average placements taking a loan is recommended if not financially well off as VIT is a private university but if you manage to get a high rank then it would be better

Campus Life

Annual fest and tech fest are events happening every year for all students especially technovit a vit event which attracts a lot of students from other colleges vit is equipment with a huge library and has a lot of various clubs

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are honestly good with well maintained rooms and infrastructure mess food is good compared to other colleges and they are affordable I would not recommend renting a pg if you are new to the city or locality

Hostel Fee: INR 186500 per year

Admission

One of the most demanding courses is computer science, so VIT has a lot more students you can find the application form online application fees are cheap compared to other colleges a lot of information cannot be found on the official website so including it should be an improvement worth improving

Course Curriculum Overview:

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

Placement Experience:

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

It's a good college for me.

Placement Experience:

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

because of future is EV. So I will take the EEE for a bright future 50:1 ratio level. Faculty qualification is a minimum PG and most of the faculties are complete Ph.D. each unit has a unit test it is very easy only No difficulty to get a pass.

Balanced Engineering Journey At Vit Chennai

I applied for SRM, once considered admission in LPU but finally chose VIT due it's reputation and strong placements. Other colleges which I applied for required strong jee scores for admission. Admission process in VIT is as follows:- 1) write VITEEE exam cause vit doesn't considers jee scores. 2) you must have above 60 percent in boards and above or equal to 60 percent in PCM aggregate. 3)cutoffs, past papers, closing and opening ranks are not revealed si can't say much regarding that. 4) overall admission experience was decent...Read More

Is VIT worth it

From th start of the 12th class I wanted IIT and my second option was VIT over NITs because it has very good facilities. I didn't get good marks in my JEE advance so I choose VIT. I had given exams of various other colleges like Kalinga Insititute of technology(KIT), SRM, BITSAT etc. i chose VIT as my college was because it is one of the most renowned colleges of India. VIT has a tag value of its own and it does make a difference if you add "VIT" as your college in your resume. The admission process of this college goes by giving an examination called VITEEE which is held after jee mains. The syllabus for the same is similar to jee mains and the good thing is it has no negative marking. All 12th pass students with a minimum of 60% are eligible to write this entrance test.
