NIE Mysuru, All you need to Know

Course curriculum is really good and smooth. The college is autonomous but it still follows VTU Syllabus. Being autonomous gives it benifit as the exams are not that tough. The faculty members are really good. The faculty to student ratio is 1 faculty for 30 students in theory classes and in labs it's one faculty for 15 students. The faculties also have a long experience in teaching, most of them have done PhD in their respective Course and some are also in research background. Our first internals were postponed by one week because some seats for ktr students were left but it doesn't happens often.

The top recruiters here are JP Morgan, Zomato, Fidelity, Cisco, Infosys, Bosch and many more. There are internship opportunities in I fourth and fifth semesters from college side itself and they are really good.

The students can sit for placement from the 4th semester itself. If you have that academic knowledge you can sit in placements and take PPOs, many seniors have gotten PPO's in their 4th semester. The average package for CSE and ISE both is 12 lakh per annum. The Placement rate is really good 95%+.

There is no such fee hike policy by the college. The fee for COMEDK students is 2,40,000 per year for cse and for KTR students it's around 85 to 90k. There are many government policies in college, one I remember gives students 5000 per month.

The fest culture is really missing here. There a rarely any fests here. If your priority is fest then don't come here. The library is good and consists of nearly all books related to your academics, you are also provided with the online copy of the books. Talking of Sports, the sports faculty is good. The clubs here are really exciting, they conduct various events in college and they are fun.

The hostel fees is 1,00,000 per year. Also there's something you need to know the college is divided into north and south campus. They distance between both is 16km. The students are generally provided hostel in south campus so there's also a transportation charge of 25000 per year. Try to register for hostel as soon as possible because there's a long line for that. You can rent pg also near north campus it's very affordable around 5k per month.

First I would clarify that I'll be writing about NIE( North Campus), not NIEIT. I got admitted to this College through the COMEDK exam. All payments were made online through their website and we just have to submit our documents by being physically present at college. There is a reservation for KTR Students, the college fee is for them is less around 85000 per year ( it's for cse I'm talking) for COMEDK students it's 2,40,000.
