Likes

The campus environment like the grounds.
Hostel accomodations like all the equipment are given and everything is in the hostel itself
There are many good food outlets present in the campus.

Dislikes

The classrooms just have fans, ac is need as it is very hot here in Chennai
The rules regulation of hostel like the in time is early
The college does not allow to go out for city exploration

Course Curriculum Overview

CS is a growing file and has a lot of scope in it. there are 3 exams per semister out of which 2 are hard and 1 is easy. There is no passing as such except for final term exam but marks mainly depends on your teacher

The internship and the companies which i havent studied lot but i am sure that there are good companies which come for placements.The internship and stipend is also decent which is provided by the university

Placement Experience

after the 8th semester the student is eligible for campus placement. There is a credit system after certain credit sytem you get you degree. the highest package obtained is 1.5 cr companies such as tcs microsoft etc are present. My plans after geting the degree is to job for 2 years for experiance and then do mba

Fees and Financial Aid

cost of study is okish as it is a private college scholarship and all are provided for those. Companies such as google microsoft provide internship and all plus you can also get internship on you own if you want

Campus Life

The annual fest occurs in march which is called vibrance and 3 celebrities are called for perfomance. The tech fest is held in october there are many small events taking place in it. There are many sports team which go out for competitions. There are many social clubs which have their own events

Hostel Facilities

The room has ac a table a cubboard chair for all in case of fire sprinklers are there. Bookshelfs are also present. Mess is having good food but sometims the food is bad but compared to other college it is far better.

Hostel Fee: INR 180000 per year

Admission

Vit chennnai offers diverse programs, great infrastructure and ample opportunities. However the campus regulations are very strict as student cannot just walk freely out of the campus main gate for city exploration.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

Placement Experience:

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

It's a good college for me.

Placement Experience:

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

because of future is EV. So I will take the EEE for a bright future 50:1 ratio level. Faculty qualification is a minimum PG and most of the faculties are complete Ph.D. each unit has a unit test it is very easy only No difficulty to get a pass.

Balanced Engineering Journey At Vit Chennai

I applied for SRM, once considered admission in LPU but finally chose VIT due it's reputation and strong placements. Other colleges which I applied for required strong jee scores for admission. Admission process in VIT is as follows:- 1) write VITEEE exam cause vit doesn't considers jee scores. 2) you must have above 60 percent in boards and above or equal to 60 percent in PCM aggregate. 3)cutoffs, past papers, closing and opening ranks are not revealed si can't say much regarding that. 4) overall admission experience was decent...Read More

Is VIT worth it

From th start of the 12th class I wanted IIT and my second option was VIT over NITs because it has very good facilities. I didn't get good marks in my JEE advance so I choose VIT. I had given exams of various other colleges like Kalinga Insititute of technology(KIT), SRM, BITSAT etc. i chose VIT as my college was because it is one of the most renowned colleges of India. VIT has a tag value of its own and it does make a difference if you add "VIT" as your college in your resume. The admission process of this college goes by giving an examination called VITEEE which is held after jee mains. The syllabus for the same is similar to jee mains and the good thing is it has no negative marking. All 12th pass students with a minimum of 60% are eligible to write this entrance test.
