Course Curriculum Overview
Computer Science is an up-and-coming branch, and the future for CS is very bright. There is a decent faculty-to-student ratio in the college, and most of the faculties are PhDs. The exams are held timely and are of moderate difficulty and aren't very difficult to pass.
Internships Opportunities
Many different companies like ZS, TCS, and Amazon come to the college for internships. The internships provide around a 40k/month stipend to the students. Projects are a very important part of college life and the teachers help the students thoroughly with them.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible from the 5th semester for campus placements. Companies like ZS, etc. visit the college with almost a thousand offers. The highest package went for 1.25 crores whereas the average package remains to be around 10 lpa. Almost all students seated for placements get a job. I too desire to do a good job after getting the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is a small fee hike every year, however, compared to other engineering colleges it is still very cheap. I was eligible for a 95%+ in-board scholarship where students get a free laptop. I am still a first-year student.
Campus Life
TNM (Techsurge and Mridang) is the annual fest, held in February each year. The library is almost filled with any book one might need. Sports facilities are very poor with there being just a small ground to play. There are many cultural groups like Affinity, and Aayam which are run by students.
Admission
You need to have 75% aggregate in 12th grade, with 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths at least. Application information can be found on the IPU website. There is reservation as well as management quota in the college. The admission process is just a bit slow. The cutoff goes to around the 92 percentile.
