I chose mechanical engineering because of my interest. Faculty:student ratio is 1:140, a quiet decent ratio. Faculties hold the Doctorate degree with reputed universities around world. Teaching method is quite advanced as per the today's education policy. There are two semester examinations, within one semester again there is mid semester and end semester. It is not difficult at all. Having good grasp on subjects will fetch good marks.

Internship opportunities are good, with more no. Of core companies, software companies and analytics company. Stipend is above 40000 per month. Role is summer intern. Projects should align with the companies profile and completed to get the pre placement offer.

In fourth year students are eligible for campus placements. Highest package is of 80lakhs from Computer Science department. For mechanical engineering, it is 20 lakh from PSUs, profile is management trainee. Average is around 12 lakh for mechanical engineering department, and profile is graduate trainee. There is 90% placements. I want to work for the company.

Fees is nominal, per semester the fee is 90000-100000, which includes hostel fee, mess fee, tuition fee, medical fee, hostel establishment fee and more. Scholarship are like DAAD for foreign students from Nepal, Bangladesh, America, etc. There are internships on campus with stipends as well the placements. Placement is good for mechanical engineering department.

We have three fests, that is innovision which is conducted in the month of November, we have nitrutsav which is conducted in the month of March and cosmopolitan which is conducted in the month of January. There's a Biju Patnaik central Library which has over 5000 books and foreign journals. There are two projectors, screen, smart board as well the green board, chalks and duster. Seating capacity of 200 students. There is Student Activity Center which looks on extra curriculums, like technical soceity, games and sports soceity, film and music soceity and literary and cultural soceity which holds more than 50 clubs of varied interest and hobbies. There are various social groups for uplifment of rural students like AASRA, miday morning are official media body.

Hostel facilities are good, there is two persons accommodated in one room, it has beds, tables chaires, shelves charging points and lan connection. Mess quality is way better in taste, menu gets updated according to the season Hostel is alloted to students after every year, there is hostel warden and caretaker who looks onto the smooth boarding of students.

There is one entrance exam named IIT JEE, on clearing the mains exam and as per the rank, seat is allocated by JOSAA/CSAB. Student can get the the provisional admission letter. All the documents like aadhar, provisional admission letter you can go to the college for offline verification. Application charge is 2000 for seating in Josaa. We can get application form from the jeemains.ac.in website. I got into the Institute through general category. Admission process is overall smooth, can be more improved between 1round to other.
