NIE Mysuru, is it worth joining?

CSE/AIML and ISE all courses are similar, just CSE department quite chill in terms of academics than ISE. Faculty is very supportive, they'll help you with academics as well as extra curriculars like hackathon and project works as well. Course curriculum is also good. They have added additional courses like cyber security and and also other certificate courses to differentiate us from others. So curriculum is good. Talking about exams, we have two internals and quizs and practicals which were not tough at all. At the same time not too easy. Seniors have told that end sem will be tough but we'll see.

Internship opportunities are good and that with stipend of 5000-60000. And these companies also offer PPO ili e. Pre placement offer. Zscalar, Mercedes, BMW, Infosys TCS, Toyota all these companies come for internships.

Placements are fine. Not as good as IITs but due to its location near Bengaluru many companies visit here. Many of our seniors in second and third year have already received offers. Internship opportunities are also good just you have to keep yourself skillful. Zscalar, Amazon, TCS and Infosys are very often here for hiring. There is Infosys headquarter in Mysuru not too far away from our campus.

Yearly fees is 2,80000. Last year it was 2,40000. So it is increasing rapidly, but as it's a private college, it's fine and they also providing us with many tools and courses online. It is high but it can't be helped:( You'll get your state or Central scholarship. Also club events also provides you cash prizes if you win!

There are two campuses , North and South. North campus is new one with IT branches and is still under development. South campus has core branches(mech, ECE, eee , civil) and is well established. Most of the events are arranged in south campus. Campus Life is ok ok type. It depends on you, how much you interact to others. Clubs are their, tech clubs as well as financial clubs and they keep organising events tech events as well as fun events. They also organise hackathons and assist you with the technical part.

Hostel is also fine. Just you'll North food but not as good as North. But better than PGs. There are common washrooms so it's crowdy if you get up late in the morning. Hostel of North campus is inside the campus but the area is isolated from city South campus hostel is near the campus and is inside the city

There are 3 means of taking admission 1. COMEDK (I used) 2. KCET( for Karnataka students) 3. Management quota. COMEDK fees is little expensive, KCET fees is quite low and management you know;) Form is available on COMEDK website.
